“Alright Johna, really it’s just a business meeting.” I laughed as my personal make-up artist tried to apply glitter shadow, “Some mascara, foundation, blush, lipstick and neutral eyeshadow will be totally fine.”
“But Yvonne, you want to make a good first impression.” She sighed dramatically,
“Yes, and club make-up for a professional meeting won’t do that.” I laughed, swatting the brush away, “use that one and put on some mascara and I’m done. Don’t want to be late and all.”
“Alright fine,” she fake huffed, “Why do you even keep me around if you don’t like my advice.”
“Because you can apply so much better than I can, and you’re a GENIUS when it comes to events.”
“Well I guess I am.” She laughed,
“Right well I’m off.” I laughed, grabbing the bag, “When I’m out can you talk to Tony about planning the hair and make-up for my premiere on Saturday. Oh and tell Natalie that when I get back we need to sort out dresses for the press conference tomorrow.”
“Of course Yvonne, take care of yourself.”
“I’ll be fine, Viv and Chris are here so toddles.” I leant in to give her air kisses before rushing out the door into the crowd of waiting paps.
I walked into the conference room with Viv and Christian and walked to the front of the room. Viv sat at the head of the giant conference table with Christian on her right and me on her left.
“Alright everyone.” Viv said, resorting to her in control tone, “I’m Vivianne Andrews, This is my husband Andrew and Yvonne Charelson. We pretty much own this studio.” I heard some of the girls whispering, obviously not realising that I was a co-owner, “That’s enough.” She said, quieting everyone down.
“Well you see I own part of this studio, yes.” I smirked, “But I want no special treatment, I’m an actress here I take no part in the running of this studio.”
“Well thanks Yvonne.” Viv said dryly, “Obviously Yvonne is the ‘face’ of the studio at the moment, and I know the few of you from Polyvore Studio were used to the equal footing everyone does some of this and some of that style that Ms. Sophie Cook had. Well not here.” She said harshly, looking around the room, “Here you start at the bottom and work your way up. There are specific jobs within departments and you do your job and YOUR job only. Do we have any questions?”
The meeting continued in this way and I started to tune Viv out, I’d heard this all before for god sake. I turned my attention to the girls. Some of them were professional and polished looking, some of them looked alright, just like they hadn’t put in the effort and some looked like they were just a tinsy bit hung over. Well working here would should me an experience
This was made/written last night and prob only set of the day, off school sick and feeling like crap. Going to watch Valentine's day curled up on the couch.
