Compact evening bag in leather with metallic trimming. Adjustable and detachable shoulder strap. One compartment. Dimensions: 13 x 15 cm 5,1 x 5,9 in Jil Sander opened her first Hamburg store in 1967 aged just 24, but her clean, understated style really met success with the advent of '90s minimalism. Now at the head of the label, Belgian designer Raf Simons, has managed to carry on with the same androgynous, clean-lined aesthetic that made it famous. Truly fascinated with traditional couture codes, the designer transformed his models into ravishing 1950's debutantes. After a series of white, almost clinical dresses, came the pencil and circle skirts, as well as the tailored shorts, trousers and jackets in a blue Gingham, or multicolor Tartan and Paisley patterns. Staying true to the Sander legacy of purity and elitism, the look was futuristic and Hepburn-perfect retro at the same time. Raf Simons's collection was a creative marvel and a pure moment of optimism. 2012 Spring/Summer collection.
