    Knoll ® Girard Table
With a background in architecture, Alexander Girard would go on to become a respected textile designer, notably revitalizing the muted, somber tones associated with textile design of prior decades, with a fresh and vibrant color palate. Girard was the first modern designer to define textiles as being more than just functional and to further emphasize form through the application of color and pattern. While the Girard Table appears to be a fairly simple coffee table, the asymmetry of the tabletop speaks volumes as to Girard's skill as a designer. The piece reflects the mid-century aesthetic of clean lines, organic shapes and Girard's view that ''art is only art when it is synonymous with living.'' Features: Legs made of cold-roll steel tubes with metal weldment. Sustainability Statement: Sustainable design is a key component of Knoll's environmental focus. Knoll's commitment to social responsibility and a healthy environment has prompted the company to further articulate its longstanding environmental programs and, with encouragement and support from colleagues in the industry, Knoll has re-energized its focus on such ''green'' initiatives as life cycle analysis and LEED certification. Knoll is proud to have contributed to projects that have received LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Each authentic Knoll product includes a certificate of authenticity. Product Details: Style: Modern. Top Material: Wood. Base Material: Steel. Eco-Friendly: Yes. Dimensions: Overall: 16" H x 59" W x 26" D.

Knoll International Knoll - Platner Side Table
Warren Planter designed the first wire furniture collection for the manufacturer Knoll in 1966. Among them was also the Planter side table – a sophisticatedly produced piece of furniture out of fine steel rods that come together to a tailored pillar. Warren Planter openly admits: “One always hopes to design a classic.” Just that he achieved with his side table. The steel rods-construction offers an unmistakably attractive and curious appearance, similar to a Moiré-effect. The filigree shaped steel connects to a loadbearing pillar that carries a high quality table board. The Planter side table embodies perfect form in one only design so that it is manufactured unchanged since more than 40 years. Also in collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York or the Victoria and Albert Museum, Planters classics were already exposed. The round-steel rods of the frame are nickel plated and treated with protection lacquer. The table top is available out of polished crystal glass or marbled.
