  • Normann Copenhagen Amp Pendant Light - Small
    shophorne.com
The Danish designer Simon Legald has designed a sophisticated range of lamps called Amp for Normann Copenhagen. The range consists of one table lamp and two pendant lamps. Amp is characterized by its high-quality materials of glass and marble that add a visual fragility and sensuous heaviness. Amp has a nostalgic and at the same time contemporary feel. The idea for the lamp's shape came when the designer was restoring an old 60's radio at home. While searching for spare parts for the radio, he was captivated by the glow that emits from the tube amplifier. The simple oval shape and the glow of the bulb is an obvious reference to this, just as the name Amp refers to the English term; tube amplifier. The proportions for each lamp have been carefully designed. For example, the marble sockets of the two pendant lamps are smaller than the marble base of the table lamp to emphasize their different functions. The designer has visually highlighted the essential details, such as the way the shade rests on the socket. By combining the two natural materials, an exciting contrast between the transparent, light glass and the solid, heavy marble is created. The decorative bulb emits a stunning glow though the either gold or smoke colored glass lampshades. The lamp is available with a socket or base in impactful black marble or striking jade green, emphasizing the natural colorful elegance of the material. The Amp Lamps come with matching textile cord, and dimmer switches for the table lamp. The shades can easily be removed when changing bulbs. Bulb is not included. E12 Base Bulb (.5W LED bulb recommended and can be purchased separately). Other E12 base bulbs can also be used. The pendants have 4 m textile cords and canopy in a matching color. Does not include a hook for the ceiling. Clean with damp cloth.

Our kitsets significantly reduce freighting, which is one of our ways of doing what we can to help preserve our beautiful sea and land environments" - David Trubridge. David's prolific body of work has been featured in museums, private residences, commercial spaces, restaurants, coffee shops and hotels the world round. • Wastberg W151S3 Extra Large Pendant - Short
    shophorne.com
Lamp fixtures have historically been shaped to encase different light sources such as the light bulb. Because of the physical shape and size of the light source the light fixture itself became of significant size. Today, thanks to LED, the almost zero-sized light source does no longer limit the size and shape of the light fixture. Consequently, minimizing has become the design rule. However, with pendants in particular, the light fixture has always had an additional role apart from providing light – it shapes the room. The lamp that hangs from the ceiling, often above a table, creates a room within the room. In w151 Extra Large Pendant we’re bringing back the room-shaping quality - not with one lamp, but three. Based on the most basic of geometrical shapes – the cone – the lamp comes in three variations: the tall and narrow, the archetypical and the low and wide. All three are super-sized, pushing the limits of manufactured, spun aluminum, yet fitting through a normal door frame. The feature of this lamp is its size. Paired with careful control of the fine details and the paper-like matt finishes, the lamp is almost illusory; dream- like – when experienced in reality. Technical Information: Light source: 19 W LED Light source included Colour temperature: 3000K CRI: > 80. • George Nelson Bubble Pendant - Cigar
    shophorne.com
First designed in 1947, the George Nelson Bubble Lamp Collection has stood the test of time. The simple structural shapes with the innovative use of taut plastic over fine steel wire were born from George Nelson's frustration to buy a Swedish-made silk lamp which produced a soft light. This unique use of shape and material produces a diffused light that is free of glare while offering an abundance of illumination. These pieces are part of the permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and remain icons in modern lighting. Modernica discovered these designs and reintroduced the series in 1989 with a dedication to reproducing these stunning, classic lights with authenticity and craftsmanship. Modernica still uses the same materials and methods to hand craft each piece in their Michigan facility. The classic Saucer Pendant is available in 4 sizes, with 6 feet of cord (extra large comes with 9 feet) and a 5.25 inch brushed nickel ceiling plate.

  • Normann Copenhagen Bell Pendant
    shophorne.com
The expression is robust, the form is simple. Bell is a ceiling lamp in an iconic bell shape and with special attention paid to its details. Its round, even surface gives the lamp the impression of having been cast. Rather than being hidden, the meeting between the lead and the lamp is accentuated in a modern and original way. With Bell, designers Andreas Lund and Jacob Rudbeck have focused on designing a lamp where the design of the fixtures has space to unfold. The contrast between the materials creates a modern lamp. Bell is a directional lamp that changes character and creates new experiences when a person moves around it. The light inner side reflects the light, which falls like a cone and provides good lighting over the dining table, for example. Andreas Lund and Jacob Rudbeck explain: "Often, the fixtures, or the part that connects the lead to the lamp, are not the primary aspect of a lamp's design. They are more of a necessity. In Bell you have a lamp where the connection between the lead and the lamp is evident. Just as light is a gatherer, the bell has historically been used to call people to come together - to gather people. With its bell shape, Bell can also be used to create a cozy place to gather in the room." Small, Medium, Large US: E26 (big socket). Low-energy 9 Watt bulbs are recommended. 4 m textile cord. Bell Lamp in White and Black version have matching cards. Bell Lamp Sand has a brown cord and Grey has a black cord. Ceiling canopy is included. Clean with damp cloth.

  • Gubi Ronde Pendant
    shophorne.com
The Ronde Pendant is Oliver Schick's first product for Gubi. The bell-shaped piece has reference to the traditional pendant lamp and the heyday of 1970s lightning design; however, in a modern interpretation. A unique detail is the opening on the top with an overhanging collar that reminds of a jar such as a vase or an amphora. The mainly downwards directed light from conventional pendant lamps does in this design also spread out of the spout-like opening and casts a smooth light gradient at the wire and ceiling. The hand-turned aluminum lamp shade with an ultra-matte lacquer almost makes it look as if it was made of ceramics. Ronde is in several languages the word for round, circular or rotating but it is also the flat blank used for metal spinning technique, which is rotating around a molded core and shaped to a 3-dimensional body. The Ronde Pendant comes in two sizes and is available in five colors: Matt white, Rusty Red, Pigeon Grey, Anthracite, and Charcoal Black. Ceiling cap included. The textile cord is black, except for white which matches the shade.
