The Savannah College of Art and Design has just opened “Little Black Dress,” its premier exhibition of the Fall 2012 season. The exhibit, curated by SCAD trustee and Vogue Contributing Editor André Leon Talley, is sponsored by M·A·C Cosmetics. The exhibition begins in Savannah and goes to New York in the spring. Then it's on to Paris next year.

“Little Black Dress,” a year in the making, charts the historic and contemporary significance of the LBD. It features approximately 80 garments from designers such as Chanel, L'Wren Scott, Givenchy, Cushnie et Ochs, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Lauren, Stella McCartney, and many more.

If you regularly read Vogue Magazine, you know Andrée Leon Talley. Talley began his career assisting Diana Vreeland at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute and later wrote for Interview Magazine and WWD before joining Vogue in 1983. The man is a fashion genius.
