Day 09 – Your beliefs, in great detail
• Are you religious, what do you believe in, how do you find peace within yourself, what are your morals
I was raised Catholic, and frequently went to church in my youth. I loved it as a child, but as I got older my faith and desire waned. When I turned 13, after I had been confirmed, my parents gave me the option of whether or not I wanted to continue going to church. I went for a while, but by the time I was 15 I stopped going all together. Nowadays, I only go to church for weddings, christenings and funerals, which seems to upset my mom but honestly what doesn’t upset my mom?
I do believe in God and pretty much all of the Catholic principles, so I suppose I would still be categorized as a Catholic; however, the physical act of practicing religion just doesn’t suit me right now.
My morals are pretty cut and dry:
-Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. [Admittedly, that drinking part is lost on me.]
-Karma is a fierce b-tch and should be feared.
-Be the change you want to see in the world.
-Live and let live.
-Revenge gets you nowhere.
Day 10 – What you wore today, in great detail
• What is a typical outfit for you, what would you describe your style as, what articles of clothing do you own the most of, what colors do you wear the most, some style icons/eras/movies that you relate to.
[Using what’s in the set]
Today I wanted to wear a pink maxi dress under a cutoff denim tie-front top paired with yellow flats, a leopard print purse and cutesy accessories. Unfortunately, the weather foiled my plans and I ended up changing into a drop hem cardigan on top of a white lace top, tie-dye skinny jeans, a pair of loafers, and a mustard Cambridge satchel.
Typically, I sport a very relaxed look full of bold colors. I prefer laid-back attire that allows for any sort of running, jumping or fidgeting that I might do throughout the day. I am too clumsy for sky-high heels and--let’s be honest—they’re just plain uncomfortable. So I almost always wear flats or sandals. I do have a few pairs of heels, but they’re pretty much all stolen from my roommate Bethany.
