Oh man, resident dork and comedic relief Stiles Stilinski will just do anything in the name of a good time. Rumour has it, he's organized a game of assassin in the forest...after hours. Is he trying to get us killed or is he just trying to get our minds off of Melony? Either way it's crazy. And to top it all off: headquarters will be the Beacon County police station—and yeah, Sheriff Stilinski has no clue. Each player has a polaroid of themselves around their neck: snag someone elses photo before before they snag yours and collect them all! If that's not your style (or "stile"?), Scott's apparently ordered a few kegs to the station. Stay safe, BH Cyclones...if the Sheriff ends up popping by, it'll be ALL of our heads…

massive apologies on the lateness and if this conflicts with anything I'm currently going through syllabus week and adjusting to sophomore life.

Meera had spent the weekend trying to forget she currently resided in Beacon Hills, but not even copious amounts of online shopping and skyping with her best friends. But every good thing from her weekend was instantly erased when she returned to school Monday morning. Sure she had texted a bit with Kara and got invited to their lunch table but an insider spot couldn't fix this whole situation. She needed more. She needed Beacon Hills to be more, but alas Meera sighed and trudged through the target heels and battered converse through the building.

"I have to invite the new girl," the hyper active weirdly named Stiles said to his counter part the substantially calmer normally named Scott as they walked ahead of Meera into the Econ classroom.

"Which new girl?" The other boy responded while is friend sighed angrily.

"Oh my god, obviously the hot one," he said with such annoyance in his voice Meera thought he might slap his friend. She didn't condone violence but at 8am anything could happen and these two were mildly entertaining.

Meera watched as the other boy grinned sheepishly while they sat in the desks right in front of her, "again which new girl?" She had to hand it to the Scott kid it was rather clever but Meera didn't appreciate being called hot as much as classy or sophisticated or gorgeous. Yes, those would be preferred to just plain old hot. The Stiles kid had slapped his friend while Meera was thinking but she got less excited when it was a friendly laughing slap.

"You're a dog, a real mutt," Stiles said and Meera watched as the other boy paled. Probably a touchy subject.

"You new girl," Stiles was no longer speaking to Scott but instead looked at her.

"I have a name that's not you, new, or girl."

"Apologies, hello fair maiden whose acquaintance I have yet to make may I beg the honor of hearing your name?" The kid rambled with a heavy dose of sarcasm and Meera glared.

"Meera Kline," she said through a fake smile.

"I'm Scott and that's Stiles," the boy offered a friendly smile and Meera concluded that he should always do that.

"I know," she said and they both raised their eyebrows, "coach pretty much alerted the whole class that you two together meant we'd probably end up only covering half the curriculum because of interruptions."

"Great man that coach," Stiles sighed, "anyway you should come tonight."

"Come to what tonight?"

"Stiles is hosting a game of assassin in the woods tonight and it's going to be pretty chill," Scott replied for his friend.

"Sounds dangerous."

"True but what's fun about playing safe."

"Hmmm," Meera pondered the offer, they probably were going to invite most anyone and it could be an interesting experience, "I'll consider it. So am I obviously the hot one or just the first attractive new girl you saw?"

"You don't seem like the type who listens in on other peoples conversations."

"I don't normally but I get bored."

"Speaking of do you think you could..." The boy started and looked away embarrassed. These two may be the death of her and she literally just met them.

"Seriously, do you think we have an after school club or something? Hot new girls club meets Tuesdays at 3 in the library," she spat angry again these kids were too much for first period.

"Ha, Scott you should join," Stiles laughed, "you're kind of mean Meera but I think we shall keep you." And with that the weird Stiles kid hugged her head against his stomach while his friend looked on in mix of awe and delight.

"Stilinski what the hell are you doing? Leave Kline alone before she sues," Coach grumbled as he walked into the room earning a handful of giggles from the other students in the room. Meera breathed a sigh of relief when Stiles freed her from his clutches and frowned dramatically when he patted her on the head before moving to his seat.

"Here take my phone and put your number I'll text your later with the info. Also stiles will probably save your contact too so if you get any bizarre messages from him don't worry," Scott said quietly while coach began to talk about the theory of supply. Meera smiled at him and nodded while she tapped away on his phone. The terrible two weren't all that bad.

------------------------------

"Did you think you were in like Seattle or something?" A blonde Asian girl asked as Meera approached the clearing that Scott had mentioned in his earlier text.

"What no," Meera replied incredulously. "The weather said it might rain."

"So you decided to look like you were in kindergarten?" The girl laughed and Meera found that her joke was not at all as funny as she apparently thought it was.

"Come on lighten up, I'm Kiko."

"Meera, I happen to think I look fine."

"To play assassin where the purpose is not to get caught."

"I look best in brights, so why accommodate to the apparent town custom of black on black," Meera offered in turn and the girl nodded.

"Stubborn and independent, you might do," The girl said giving an easy smile.

"Do for what?" Meera was completely confused and Stiles was now standing attempting to get everyone ready for the game. He was decked out in war paint on both cheeks.

"Not sure yet but you might be useful." The girl wandered forward and Meera groaned. Beacon Hills was so weird and it's levels of weirdness just increased. Stiles asked if everyone knew the rules and Meera watched as some girl attempted to raise her hand before being ignored. Back at her old school they played assassin a bit, it was fun and very high school. Then suddenly everyone was running into the woods and Meera followed doing her best not to get mud on her Hunters.

She had successfully wandered alone in the woods for a decent amount of time without being caught or catching anyone. Her phone told her that the game had been going for about twenty minutes now and she was honestly surprised she'd last this long. The woods seemed to be a common hangout for these kids which was incredibly dangerous especial given what had just occurred. Meera's breathing quickened thinking of the girl Melony who was found in the woods seemingly mauled by a wolf.

"Oh god," she said out loud, "oh god. Oh god." She was panicking now and began to hurry away in the general direction from which she came. Meera had wandered past multiple trees and rocks the same time and concluded that she was lost.

"Help, someone help. Help me please." She screamed and looked in every direction for a source of salvation but mostly it look like danger and the unknown.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt? What happened?" A blonde girl burst through the bushes and Meera quelled her screaming.

"No, I'm just lost and scared and I don't really like woods," she replied realizing how dumb it must sound.

"That's understandable but maybe given the current climate you try not to sound like you just got shot." The girl offered her a hand and Meera was suddenly aware she was on the ground. She must look like a mess but the girl just seemed to be fine with it.

"Yeah, I'm sorry. Here," Meera pulled her picture off her neck and handed it to the girl.

"You don't have to," the girl smiled and looked at the name under the Polaroid "welcome to Beacon Hills Meera. I'm Cathy, I know the whole new kid deal it's unpleasant."

"Yeah, I've met a decent number of people and probably should have texted someone instead of screaming."

"True that's slightly more logical but fear is not known for making people logical."

“You’re being far too nice,” Meera sighed and the girl just shrugged her shoulders.

“I figured if someone was calling for help they’d need it.”

“Why haven’t I met you at school yet?” Meera asked and the girl stopped for a moment.

“Because I doubt we run in similar social circles, I’m pretty sure you eat lunch with like Kara and her crowd,” Meera sighed, another potential friendship down the drain because Kara Reed apparently didn’t approve much of the girl. It was starting to get aggravating, but there was no real cause to rock the boat just yet she had only just begun to be accepted there.

“Oh well,” Meera replied and offered a smile, “I see kegs so I’m going to head over there, but good luck I hope you win the game.” She waved and jogged toward the clearing that she had seen, there was a decent number of kids there and alcohol. Meera could probably go for a decent level of drunkenness, it was a school night but her mother and Jose seemed to always have company so no one cared what she did.

“So you showed up,” Scott McCall was standing before her polaroidless and smudged war paint on both cheeks.

“Yeah, I ended up lost and alone in the middle of the woods until some girl helped me it was rather embarrassing,” Meera replied as he led her over to the keg.

“Nahh, the woods aren’t for everyone.” Scott McCall smiled again and Meera decided that Scott McCall should probably only smile because it is absolutely adorable. “Here,” he said handing her a cup and Meera smiled back.

“Not to be creepy but you’re friends with that Matt kid right?”

“Uh yeah, I am. Why?”

“Well cause he’s taking a picture and the lense seems to be in this general direction,” Scott looked over Meera’s shoulder and she turned with him to see Matt.

“Ugh,” she sighed. “I have to deal with this but I’ll see you later Scott.” Meera waved to her new friend and trudged over to Matt.

“What the f-ck are you doing Matt?” Meera spoke pushing the camera away from Matt’s face and glared at his confused face.

“What do you mean?” He was not trying to act coy, oh god he cannot attempt to play that card.
“You’re being weird, taking pictures without my knowledge while I was talking to Scott.”

“Why were you talking to McCall? He’s trouble him and that friend of his,” Matt said bitterly.

“I happen to like Scott and Stiles is weird but I appreciate the weird it is nice.”

“Yeah but you shouldn’t hang out with them,” he replied angrily.

“What gives you the right to decide who I can hang out with? That’s 100% my personal choice and right now it seems like I made a bad one choosing you,” she spat and watched a flicker of an emotion she couldn’t place cross Matt’s face.

“Come on Meera, let’s go,” he said grabbing her arm. “You’ve had something to drink and I am not letting you drive home with one of these drunk idiots.”

“Stop Matt,” she replied angry.

“Meera,” a voice said from nearby, both she and Matt whipped their heads in that direction. It was Charlie in all her multi colored hair glory looking concerned.

“Hi,” Meera replied consciously pushing Matt’s grasp off her arm.

“I just wanted to know if I could ask you something real quick,” and Meera watched as the girls eyes flickered toward Matt and then back quickly to her.

“Yeah of course.” And with that Meera walked away from Matt with Charlie.

“I heard you two fighting and then when he grabbed you I wanted to make sure you were ok.” Charlie offered a half smile. Meera wondered for a brief second if she was indeed ok, sure Matt was being weird but he wasn’t wrong that she shouldn’t leave with a drunk kid driving.

“I’m fine. I’m just going to tell Matt that I am going to stay with you,” she concluded.

“You don’t owe him anything,” Charlie said again and Meera nodded.

“True but he’s my friend and I want to tell him,” the other girl just smiled and watched as Meera walked back to the boy.

“I will be staying here Matt, but I think you should go. We are going to have a very long text conversation about this and I am hoping you will realize that you were in the wrong.” He looked eerily calm and moved to leave. Meera watched him go, waiting until she saw his car lights turn on in the distance and then travel further and further away.
