Living Life Behind My Own Back

Living Life Behind My Own Back
Creeping up the blind side, shinning up the wall
Stealing thru the dark of night
Climbing thru a window, stepping to the floor
Checking to the left and the right
Picking up the pieces, putting them away
Something doesnt feel quite right

Help me someone, let me out of here
Then out of the dark was suddenly heard
Welcome to the home by the sea

Coming out the woodwork, thru the open door
Pushing from above and below
Shadows but no substance, in the shape of men
Round and down and sideways they go
Adrift without direction, eyes that hold despair
Then as one they sign and they moan

Help us someone, let us out of here
Living here so long undisturbed
Dreaming of the time we were free
So many years ago
Before the time when we first heard
Welcome to the home by the sea

Sit down sit down
Sit down sit down sit down
As we relive our lives in what we tell you

Images of sorrow, pictures of delight
Things that go to make up a life
Endless days of summer longer nights of gloom
Waiting for the morning light
Scenes of unimportance, photos in a frame
Things that go to make up a life

Help us someone, let us out of here
Cos living here so long undisturbed
Dreaming of the time we were free
So many years ago
Before the time when we first heard
Welcome to the home by the sea

Sit down sit down
Sit down sit down sit down sit down
As we relive out lives in what we tell you
Let us relive out lives in what we tell you

Sit down sit down sit down
Cos you wont get away
No with us you will stay
For the rest of your days - sit down
As we relive our lives in what we tell you
Let us relive our lives in what we tell you

Beautiful song, but so.....much control in the chorus. Definitely a trigger of, "being controlled."

The realization of this duality is beyond mind-blowing devastation. Makes us question everything. Whose life did we live? Who lived the life we remembered? How can this happen? And the more it comes into focus...how we worked...the more mind-boggling it becomes. That evil people figured out how to use a survival mechanism against the being it was meant to protect...if the world only understood. Brilliant set!

Powerful and brilliantly done collage.....wish this wasn't true, but it is. The reason i know it's true is because of living it. This perfectly describes the "double life" we were forced into until moving away. If God had not begun delivering us from evil, and exposing the truth through our children, i shudder to think that our lives might still have the hidden sides. Thank you so much for telling the truth, and we can rest assured that this is the will of God, because He does bring everything into the open.

This set describes the dichotomy that you seem to be going through so well. On the right side, your life as what most people would consider "normal", on the left, the darkest of trauma. I'm sorry you are going through this and remember that you have been healing and will continue to heal and break the lies that were told to keep you trapped. Because you CAN get away, you already have in many ways and have tasted the truth and freedom found in good Jesus.

The full effect of this collage is only gotten if one listens to the song that inspired it while looking at it.
