The Eames Molded Plastic Rocker (1948), often known as the RAR (rocker height, armchair shell, rocking base), was out of production for 30 years before it was brought back with the blessings of the Eames Office. Set atop what's commonly referred to as the Eames Eiffel base, this Rocker has maple runners for a smooth rocking motion. Until 1968, Herman Miller also produced a rocking chair base. Every Herman Miller employee who was expecting a baby received the RAR as a gift until 1984. Each Vitra miniature comes handsomely packaged in a wood box with an informational booklet.
