MADMEN: FABULOUS WOMEN!

The TV series Mad Men has been an incredible pop culture phenomenon that has received critical acclaim, particularly for its historical authenticity, visual style, costume design, acting, writing, and directing. The success of the series largely impacted the rise and success of 60’s trend craze in fashion over the past several years. My set focuses on the character Peggy Olson played by the actress Elisabeth Moss. Olson rises from secretary to being a copywriter in an industry solely dominated by men back then. Quite a feat…this was prior to the Women’s Lib movement…however, women were beginning to embrace big ideas and dreams; Peggy realizes her talents and rises in her career despite momentous life changing situations. Life isn’t always neat. But as long as you do it in style!
