Magis Design Magis - 360° Chair
The 360° chair was designed by Konstantin Grcic fort he Italian company Magis. The chair supports dynamic working methods and movement. Already the name says it all, the chair is turnable 360° and therefore usable from all sides. Konstantin Grcic challenges the static working methods and office furnishings with his 360° chair. The chair wasn’t designed for an immobile sitting. 360° Is the ideal chair for a continuously changing sitting position and works that require this continuous change and movement. The 360° chair is created for optimal dynamics and it supports a lively working, temporary sitting and movement. The chair can be turned by 360° without any level-change, and it can be adapted to different heights. It can be climbed as well as left, from every side. The long form of the seat does not really invite for a long sitting, but for a fast change of position and posture. The frame of the 360° chair consists of epoxy-lacquered steel, the footrest of aluminium die-casting. The seat is manufactured of self-supporting polyurethane-integral-foam. The dynamic qualities of the 360° chair saved it a place in the constant collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, together with other products of the name-equal series.
