Marnie's Return [N O P E I]

We waited in the living room. Jaymee stood at the window, looking for Ms. Masterson's car. Marnie was coming home and we had planned a small welcome back party. Although the size of our sisterhood is not quite "small." Carr wasn't here, she was at her parents with Parker, but she would be back anytime as well. She said she had important news but she wasn't ready to spill yet.
The boys were coming in. Sam, my cousin, came in and sat by me.
"Hey"
"Hey. Can you believe what's happening?" He asked.
"No, its just all awful. I hate this." I answered. I leaned back on the couch. But sat up right away when Felix walked in.
"I better go." He winked at me.
I smiled.
He and Felix did that pound thing with their hands and Felix sat down next to me.
"Hey you." He grabbed my hand. I was so confused! He was sending mixed signals. I didn't know what was going on with us.
But before I could fully think about that. Marnie walked in the door. She looked....different.
 

We were all standing around. Marnie was sitting in a chair and people were just kind of walking over and welcoming her back.
I made my way across to her.
"Hey, how are you?" I quietly asked.
"Lish, that was the worst night of my life."
"I hate all this, they are just ruining everything." I replied.
"You're telling me?" She smiled a little bit.
"Sorry. Well I'll let someone else talk your ear off for a bit." I smiled at her. "Bye."
"Bye, Lish."
