Member Interview: Lisabedow

Optician and member lisabedow won a trip to NYC to attend Teen Vogue's Fashion University as a prize for the Dot Marc Jacobs Fragrance contest. Read on to find out more about her style!
 
Tell us about yourself!
 
My name is Lisa, and I am 32. I am an optician, and I am a bit eyewear obsessed. I collect eyeglasses the way most women collect shoes. Currently I am rocking a pair of big, red, Dior cateyes.
 
Describe your personal sense of style.
 
I tend to avoid overdosing with trends, and stay true to timeless classics with a vintage flair. I am working mother and full-time stylist for my two little girls. I do not have a lot of time to over think my style. I keep things simple.
 
Where do you live, and what trends are big there?
 
I am from fabulous Las Vegas. People come here to have fun, and they tend to dress in extremes. Bigger jewelry, higher heels, lots of skin. People can get away with styles here that they wouldn't wear at home.
 
What is your favorite brand/designer? What do like about that brand?
 
I love haute couture, and my all-time favorite brand is Christian Dior. Dior's look is sophisticated, chic, feminine and timeless. It will be interesting to see what the new head designer Raf Simons will bring to the line.
 
Which celebrity has great style? What do you like about their style?
 
I think Zooey Deschanel, Michelle Williams, Kate Moss and Katy Perry have great style, but I am a huge Lady Gaga fan. I love that she is so fearless in her style. Whether her look is a hit or a miss it's pure Gaga.
 
What are your personal aspirations/goals?
 
One of my other passions is painting. My ultimate goal is to be a working artist full time.
 
How has Polyvore affected your life?
 
Polyvore has given me a forum to showcase my love of beautiful, well-made clothes, shoes and handbags. I may not be able to afford a Lanvin dress or a Fendi clutch in reality, but in my Polyworld I can style them in my sets.
