Menu Design Menu A/S - Water jug 1 liter
The designer Jakob Wagner started out with the classic bottle archetype, which in the new interpretation shows a smooth, square shape and a stainless steel with silicon colar. The colar protects the glas and holds back drops before they can drip down outside of the bottle - it also hides a disrete lid, that tilts automatically when pouring. The lid keeps out insects and pollen when used outside - and at the same time it ensures that everything your can fill into a bottle, like ice cubes, lemon, mint leaves or strawberries, stays inside. "I like it when my work has a natural balance", says Jakob Wagner. "Therefor the upper part of the bottle is a good example. It protects the glas, yet opens so you can see the content. There is a contrast between the open and the closed bottle - and therefor a balance". The New Norm Cool Bowl from Menu is a three-part serving bowl that cools its content at the same time. Cool Bowl consists of a serving bowl, a cover bowl out of plastic and a cooling piece which is laid between both bowls. Thanks to the cooling element, Cool Bowl is ideally adapted to serve fresh salads, seafood and other meals that have to be kept cool or simply taste better cooled down. Cool Bowl can be used as common serving bowl without cooling elements. The design from Cool Bowl was coined by the architects-team Norm who has already designed a cooling serving set for Menu. ”We believe that meals adopt the taste and visual demands of the kind they are served, and from the materials on which they are served. We continue our design line which connects different materials such as porcelain, bamboo and melamine to surround those meals that you want to present and serve to your guests” , is what the architects Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen explained.

Menu Bottle Grinder, small, Blues 2-pack
Bottle Grinders look nothing like the salt and pepper grinders you’re used to. And that’s the whole plan. To create something noticeable and to change a well-known thing into something brand new – as a way to encourage people to try new things. The unique, inverted design ensures that salt, pepper, pumpkin seeds, dried blueberries, walnuts – or whatever you fill them with. Only sprinkle out when you grind, leaving no trace on the table or in the kitchen. The Grinders have a bottle like shape, which is also important to the whole experience. Designer Kasper Rønn, “From a shape like this, you’d expect the content to be something liquid like oil or dressing, you’re not at all expecting dried up spices or nuts. We used this shape to surprise and somewhat trick the users. Sometimes people need a bit of a surprise in order to change their habits”. Menu Bottle Grinders have a rounded base that fits perfectly into the hands, and have a rubber surface that’s easy to grip and to clean. They come in a range of beautiful, soft Scandinavian colors. Bon appétit. Designer: Norm Architects Materials: Plastic, Ceramic Grinder, Wood Dimensions: 2.7"w x 7.8"h.

For the love of patient grandmothers. Cross-stitching is a big part of the Danish handicraft tradition, and something closely tied to the family. Most of us learned from our unbelievably patient grandmothers - or our even more patient home craft teachers who got the questionable joy of teaching 30 kids at a time. But they did. And they made sure we followed the right patterns and tucked the thread neatly on the backside. Cross-stitching is something you do to let your mind wander, to let go of thoughts about work and busy times, and to just be right where you are. And we think this is what the world needs right now, a little collective step on the brakes. Some time to think, breathe and evaluate how we want to live our lives. It's our hope, that gathering around MENU Stitches will be this kind of brake for you. A time to slow down, turn of the noise, relax with your friends, kids or family and focus on just being right where you are. Present. Gry Fager, Copenhagen based ceramist and designer, is also focusing on quality - good products and the good life: 'I put great personal emphasis on creating products that are very usable, and products that people will find joy in using in their everyday life'. In the series you'll find jugs, thermo cups, bowls, egg-cups, plates and dishes. Sugar bowls, milk jars and butter boxes with lovely wood lids. New Norm is a serving plate with a 28.5 cm diameter. Made from porcelain in a beautiful range of pastel colours, this serving dish is ideal to serve cheese, meat or even pizza. Back in 2011 when Menu and Norm Architects were working on a brand new series of dinnerware, it became clear that a series with such a unique Nordic feel needed an equally unique base - something way out of the ordinary. So they joined forces with Copenhagen restaurateurs Cofoco and together they designed, invented and built what is today known as the World's best design restaurant: Restaurant HÔë_st in the centre of Copenhagen. So, it all started with a plate of New Norm Dinnerware. Much like the ones you can get right here. All New Norm Dinnerware products are produced with isostatic press technology to improve durability. This water jug holds 0.8 L and fits handily in the refrigerator door shelf. The elegant lid of the jug opens automatically when you pour, holds back ice cubes and slices of lemon, and makes sure you avoid off-taste from other foods and drinks in the fridge. The slender shape ensures a good grip on the waist of the jug - and gives it an elegant, unique look. Want more? Packaged in branded gift box.
