  • William Sofa in Leather
    conranshop.co.uk
Designed by Damian Williamson in 2010 for Zanotta, this edition of the William Sofa is exclusive to The Conran Shop. Upholstered in a pure aniline leather, its material is a high quality grain that is dyed for colour without any pigments applied. The leather will develop a rich patina over time, and may fade with prolonged exposure to sunlight, but the hide will exhibit some characteristics and variation of colour, since its leather is entirely natural, and will therefore absorb dye differently within the hide. The seat and back cushions are filled with luxurious goose down, for enhanced comfort and its polished aluminium alloy feet give it a stylish, contemporary appearance. Dimension: 266cm (w) x 87cm (h) x 90cm (d)

  • Carl Hansen & Son Ta001 Dream Chair
    hivemodern.com
Design Tadao Ando, 2013. Solid wood, down, cold foam, upholstery. Made in Denmark by Carl Hansen & Son. The Dream Chair was designed especially for Carl Hansen & Son by Tadao Ando as a tribute to Hans J. Wegner. It seeks to express the same harmonious, minimalist expression typical of Wegner's designs. The Dream Chair is a comfortable piece of furniture that invites relaxed reflection. A sculptural work of art in itself, the chair is particularly well suited for larger rooms where it can be seen and enjoyed from all angles. The Dream chair is made of three‐dimensional plywood, which has special characteristics that allows it to be curved along two axles during the molding process. Tadao Ando is a leading figure in international architecture and design. He was initiated into the profession in the early 1960s, and has since developed his skills independently as his contemporary work has become increasingly sought after. Highly regarded as an expert in his field, Ando is one of the most renowned and respected architects in the world, influencing future generations with his innovative approach to design. The autodidactic architect is renowned for uniting Japanese design traditions with modern Western expression and combining pure, simple lines with geometric shapes and organic expression. Tadao Ando founded Tadao Ando Architects & Associates in 1969. He has since achieved international acclaim and his works have received numerous prestigious awards. The Dream Chair is available in either oiled or lacquered oak or walnut with or without upholstered front in leather or fabric. Both models include an adjustable neck cushion (2.75" adjustment) in your choice of upholstery. The chair can hold up to 350 lbs. 39.4" h | 33.9" d | 31.5" w | seat: 15" h.
  • Carl Hansen & Son Ch33 Dining Chair With Upholstered Seat
    hivemodern.com
Design Hans Wegner, 1957. Solid wood, veneer, cold foam, upholstery. Made in Denmark by Carl Hansen & Son. The CH33 dining chair expresses many typical aspects of Hans J. Wegner's best designs. It is a very light, graceful chair that functions as a dining chair or as a sculptural addition to almost any room. It offers great comfort and stability as a classic chair that references the simple lines of the 50s and 60s. Every part of the Ch33 chair employs rounded, organic forms. The tapered legs and cross pieces are thickest where they need to support load-bearing joints, and gracefully become more slender as the design allows. The slightly splayed legs make for a very robust construction and visually signal the light chair's structural stability. The joints connecting the back legs to the backrest are visible classic examples of Hans J. Wegner's penchant for honest design that highlights good craftsmanship. The CH33 seat and backrest are made from pressure-formed hardwood laminate. It comes in an all-wood version, or with upholstered seat in your choice of fabric or leather. Note: the buttons on the seat & back are always the same wood as the frame. 29.1" h | 18.9" d | 21.7" w | seat: 17.3" h. Quick-ship versions: - oak/walnut back - oiled - thor 301 seat leather.
