Where do i start? I have been a Polyvore member for four years now(going on Five soon-YAY!). These past four years i have learned so much about Fashion. I have been able to see a cover of a magazine and name the designer whom the model is wearing. Not only is Polyvore a site to be creative and expressive, but it is also a great site to learn and stay informed with the fashion world.
Polyvore has always been accepting of my "crazy" thoughts and ideas. I was surprised to win my very first Polyvore contest, but very proud at the same time, because it was an arts contest (Black and White: My winning settie, http://www.polyvore.com/barely_hanging/set?id=4997107&lid=30767) That was the start of many awesome moments with Polvore. My name was written in the "Thank you" section of the book "Lynn Visible" by Julia Devillers, another contest win. Paris Hitlon Tweeted about me for winning a contest she held here with Polyvore. I started to believe in myself and realize i can be a stylist and I too can be part of the fashion world somehow. It was then when Polyvore inspired me to change the direction of my blog. I started to focus more on fashion and make post of things i love regarding art and fashion. Honestly...being part of poly has made me more mature, speak up for myself and not give up on my dreams, despite of where i am from and what i may lack compare to others.
My biggest and proudest moment was being invited to attend POLYVORE LIVE....What? Me? A true honor to accept and attend. I FINALLY meet Pasha, Jess, Nadia and Chrystal. Two dreams in one, to meet Poly people and be part of Fashion week..xoxox I can only hope for my story to continue with Polyvore, to turn new pages of this journey. What will they be? I don't know, but i'm not going anywhere, they are forever stuck with me ;) Thank you Polyvore for everything..forever grateful. Also thank you to all who come by my setties and to all of the awesome friends i have meet here, xoxoxo
