Cont. from last set.
"Aaron doesn't know how to make you squirm though." Lucas replied with a smug grin. Crawling over the bed, and trying to grab the sheet that's covering me.
"It doesn't matter if Aaron makes me squirm." I say, pulling the sheet closer and steping back. This earns a frown. "What matters is that we are going out. That means something to him. I can't betray his trust like this anymore."
"Nel, look me in the eye and tell me that you don't want me. Tell me that I'm being crazy for feeling like I do and I'll go. You'll never see me again." Lucas sat on the edge of the bed not making any moves, just looking at me with those ocean deep blue eyes. I sigh. I step towards him, so I'm standing between his legs.
"You know I want you. You're not being crazy. I just - Argh. It's just so difficult!" I lean my cheek against the top of his head as he wraps his arms around my waist and hugs me tight. "You know what my parents are like. They made it impossible for us last time. That was before they knew that a guy like Aaron was intrested in me."
"We'll run away. England is always looking for teachers aren't they?" He says into my chest.
I'm stunned. I just stand there for a minute taking in what he's just said.
"Nel?" He says, pulling out of our embrace and looking up onto my shocked face. "Before you ask, yes. I was being serious."
I look at the man who had stolen my heart, broken it, pieced it back together and then repeated, many times. I looked at the man before me. He had always lived at home, always been ruled by his mother. Worse than my parents thinking they could rule my life. He had never been spontanious in his life. Never adventurous apart from video games.
So many memories flashed through my head. Our first date, first kiss, first fight. The way he made me feel when he told me he loved me the first time, the way he had broken my heart when he told me he didn't love me anymore.
He placed his hands on my cheeks. "Nel, I never stopped loving you."
