2. Your client is a high-powered exec: Her day? A meeting with the vice president. Her night? A much-anticipated date with a new guy. Put together a look that goes from day to night.
I used the ruffled top, pencil skirt, heels, purple bag, and hoops to create a business look. The top cinches at the waist creating the flattering hourglass shape, plus the color is trendy this season. The pencil skirt is a closet staple. Here it creates a professional look. Nude heels elongate your legs and I predict they’ll be in style for years. Add gold hoops, a splash of color with the bag and my client is ready for daytime.
To transition into night, I added a jacket, switched earrings for a necklace, the shoulder bag for a clutch, and heels to wedges. The wedges are easy to walk in and they add some edge to the clean-cut look. The jacket and the necklace were added for the same reasons; both are glamorous and fun, perfect for the night ahead. A clutch is low maintenance and essential for a night out.
