Normann Copenhagen - Krenit Salad Cuterly
The Krenit salad bowl & set are inspired by the simple form language of the East. The long pointed handles reflect traditional chopsticks. With a simple and clean expression, the Krenit series is a modern classic that lets function and aesthetics play perfectly together. The Krenit salad set lies perfectly in the salad bowl and the round head makes it easy to scoop up the dressing. Use the salad set for everyday use or for special occasions. The idea behind the salad set is for it to contribute to the experience of what is being served. The Krenit salad set is available in several colors, providing ample opportunity for adding a splash of color to the dinner table. The colors have been carefully selected to fit beautifully with the colors in the Krenit range as well as with other types of salad bowls. Herbert Krenchel designed the Krenit range back in 1953 and relaunched by Normann Copenhagen in 2009. The series has achieved great success ever since and is now available in a wide range of sizes and colours. Classic piece with elegant expression The designer Herbert Krenchel explains: "I am excited about shapes and structures. The surface on a design object is important because it makes people want to reach out for it. I also believe that there has to be a balance between function and aesthetics. A good design must therefore contain more than one aspect to make the perfect overall impression. My inspiration comes from several things surrounding me – it can’t be explained. For me design is a way to express yourself – it’s a way to create things just the way you want it." The salad set cannot be used in microwave oven. The salad set is dishwasher safe. Use standard dishwashing detergent to clean the matt surface and markings will vanish.

    Normann Copenhagen - Pizza Cutter
The Italian designer Alessandro Busana made the pizza cutter for Normann Copenhagen, including a bottle’s opener and looking decoratively on the dining table. The designs by Alessandro Busana are often embossed by curves and a pleasant appearance. The Normann Copenhagen Pizza Wheel isn’t an exception. The blade out of stable, stainless steel and the practical handle of a pizza wheel make it to be used and dishwasher safe. Alessandro Busana’s source of inspiration for the pizza wheel was at the dining table – a magical place for him, where the family or friends meet and talk about the day, having dinner together. The designer explained: ”It might depend on my nationality, I am Italian – but when I think about an informal dinner with friends and the family, I instantly think of pizza and a cold beer. This gave me the idea of connecting the functions of opening and cutting in one. I like to design objects that have different functions. This has the advantage that you will only have to think of one item while serving the dining table.

Normann Copenhagen - Herb Stand with Scissors
Herb Stand organises your herbs and keeps them tidy, without being boring. Scissors and herbs are gathered together in one place, making it easy to season your food. With Herb Stand, designer Jakob Heiberg has focused on function and utility, while creating a design that is different. Its clean form language makes its function clear. However, Herb Stand is also a practical and amusing way to keep and use your herbs. The designer Jakob Heiberg explained: “I am veryfunctional in my approach to design. I think it is fun, when you can add something new and different to a product, and thus give the design an extra quality. I wanted to design a product that you could have standing on your table. At the same time, it had to gather several uses around one function - keeping the herbs tidy and making them easy to use every day - which requires a pair of scissors.” The Herb Stand consists of plastic and the scissors of stainless steel. The pots are dishwasher safe but the scissors should be washed by hand, according to the manufacturer Normann Copenhagen suggests. Herb Stand can easily be disassembled and the single parts can also be used separately. The coaster ensures even watering and reinforces the function of the pot.

    Normann Copenhagen Strainer Blue
One day, trying to make room for a cumbersome strainer in his kitchen, Boje Estermann had a Eureka moment. It became evident “almost obvious,” he says, “to design a new kind of strainer that only takes up space when in use.” His award-winning collapsible funnel was the perfect blueprint for this fold-up design, which would go on to win a Good Design Award 2005 and L’Observeur du Design 2006. Can be placed in the dishwasher folded or unfolded. If the strainer unfolds itself, simply put it in a press overnight. The rubber material will then return to its original form and will be fully collapsible again. FDA approved and food-safe. Designer: Boeje Estermann. Care: Dishwasher safe. Brand: Normann Copenhagen. Material: Rubber, Steel. Origin: Denmark. Color: Blue. Diameter: 8.85”.

Normann Copenhagen - Squeezer Citrus Juicer
Squeezer is a Citrus Juicer by Normann Copenhagen which can be adjusted in two ways, making it ideal to use with any kind of citrus fruit, regardless of size. Squeezing juice is a necessary but often boring job that just needs to be done. That is how the Italian designers of Studio Klass see it, and this observation led them to the idea of creating a design that could make squeezing the juice from lemons, grapes, oranges and lime fruits a fun task instead. The Italian design team Studio Klass says: "The idea was to design a functional citrus squeezer that could be used for several types of citrus fruit but also contained a sculptural element. Squeezer is an innovative kitchen utensil for adding a bit of fun to your cooking, and its aesthetic shape means that it can be displayed in the kitchen, rather than being tucked away in a drawer or cupboard". The flexible funnel-shaped upper part of Squeezer acts as a reservoir for the juice as well as a pouring spout. Just flex the reservoir with your hand and pour. The soft, matt silicone gives a good, firm grip while the Squeezer’s sharply defined grooves guarantee that all the juice is squeezed from the fruit so nothing goes to waste. This makes it perfect for squeezing the juice from lemons, oranges, limes and grapefruits as well as for pouring the juice. Normann Copenhagen manufactures the unique and functional kitchen accessory made of soft, flexible silicone and hard plastic which is why Squeezer is easy to clean in the dishwasher.

    Normann Copenhagen - Strainer
A strainer is a kitchen utensil that is used almost every day. It is not easy to find space in the kitchen for a big, bulky strainer, for example like one for noodles, where it is ready to hand and where it does not require any additional space. With the creation of the collapsible funnel for Normann Copenhagen, the designer Boje Estermann has already found a space-saving solution for an unhandy kitchen utensil. Therefore, it was obvious that he thought exactly of this product when he once looked for a spot for his big strainer. Like that, a flexible strainer made of tasteless and odourless Santoprene® rubber was produced, which is heat-resistant up to 96° and which has a bottom of rustproof steel. The strainer is so tough that it can even stand the weight of noodles and freshly cooked potatoes. After use, it is simply folded together and thus, it fits in every drawer. The Normann Copenhagen strainer is dishwasher-safe and even here it hardly requires any space because it can be washed in collapsible condition. The strainer is available in red, yellow, green and black.

Timber is made out of natural materials and perfectly suitable to be used in the kitchen or on the dining table. The playful aspect was the origin for the design by the Australian Adam Goodum. Timber realizes this playful idea without unnecessary details by means of graphic shaping and the faithful form, with clear similitudes to classic wooden toys. Adam Goodrum explained about his product: ”It was my wish to create a sculptural trivet. I approached playfully to the form it has now. Just as if making a puzzle, where the single pieces have to match in order to offer a completed picture. The three-part trivet is completed if one connects the single parts and the iconic shape makes up a decorative whole image.” The trivet Timber protects table tops and other surfaces effectively and elegantly. Moreover it is separable when it isn’t used, so that it can be stored space saving.
