I had a very strange dream the other night which strangely featured the Way brothers, though not as themselves. It was kind of in this world where people with "superpowers" were totally normal and intermingled with those without on a daily basis (random side fact: there was a doctor for power progress reports). Anyway, GWay was a neurotic empath who couldn't ride the bus (apparently only way to travel in this dream, possibly the product of my having used public transportation since I've been in Ontario) without someone (being me in the dream) sitting next to him, but he always had to have the window seat so he didn't have to look at everyone on the bus. Mikeyway was around, but I don't think he had a super power, unless his superpower is being Mikeyway, in which case it's legit.
Regardless, we lived in this house with a dream form of one of uni friends, who had the power of telekinesis (which, oddly, I think is her ideal superpower) and I had what I know now is kinetic manipulation, or simply the power of repulsion/pushing things away (which the dream doctor said may or may not progress to full on propulsion, but would take a few years). Anyway, the girl and the empath have a weird dependency on each other which neither of them are willing to admit.
There was an explosion as well, related to GWay's high risk empathy - which the dream made me understand as the build up of energy from the excess of emotions in his body as he was incapable of suppressing the effects of his power. It made sense in the dream.
Anyway, this is mostly just dream gobbedly-goop, but I thought it was kind of interesting and good short story material. But since having the dream I've slightly developed the characters as seen in the set: the person I was (who I'm completely dissociating from myself because it's weird) is now Avery Cordakin, a girl who's in love with the empath and has the ability of repulsive kinetic manipulation (repulsive sounds weird) but can apparently repulse the effects of others powers on herself, such as the empath, essentially blocking them out. And then there's the Gilbert brothers, as played by GWay and Mikeyway, Avery's unnamed telekinetic friend, and the dickweed smugass doctor.
Yes. Dreams are awesome.
