SUNDAY, JANUARY 16TH: Free day. Spend today doing whatever your heart desires.

...

I sat alone in the family room looking through some papers of the recording studio. Kat was out at the park with Em and Matt and Marcus was at the River Court with Thomas.

I sighed and leaned back in my chair. Not exactly how I'd like to spend my weekend. I put down the papers and walked over to the piano. I haven't been on the piano in a while.

I closed my eyes, thinking of inspiration. I decided to go with a song I wrote a couple of years ago, that I didn't get a chance to record.

Then I let my fingers work their magic, with my voice guiding them.

"Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting throught the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that tehre's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road

Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on slet your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on slet your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em goin "Oh, oh, oh!"

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon".

I opened my eyes and smiled. Besides for my moments with Marcus and the twins, some of my happiest times are with my piano and voice.

"That was amazing", someone said and I turned around and saw Marcus grinning down at me.

I stood up off the piano bench. "I wasn't aware I had an audience".

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. Thomas and I finished early and I thought since Kat is out with the twins, we could have some alone time", he explained.

"I like that idea", I grinned. "But did you like what you heard".

"Yeah, you're absolutely amazing, A. But I always knew that", he kissed me.

I grinned, blushing a little bit. "Really?"

"Yes really. Have you ever considered going back into the preforming part of the music industry", Marcus asked.

"No, I mean last time I was on tour, we almost got a divorce", I shook my head.

"But we're stronger now, and it's not like you'd go on tour with Chris Kellar while I'm in school", he told me. "It would be just you with me by your side".

"I don't know if people would even want to buy my CDs and see me in concert", I shrugged.

"You obviously didn't just hear yourself just now, then. You're unbelievably talented. Of course they'd want to listen to you".

A smile started to form on my face. "Are we really going to do this?"

"Yes!" He grinned.

I jumped up and hugged him. "I HAVE to go call Jenny!"

"Hello", she answered.

"I found you another artist", I told her.

"Oh really? Who?"

"Ava James Kingsley!"

"Oh my god, really? You're recording again?" She asked excitedly.

"Only if you sign me, of course".

"Duh, of course!" She laughed. "Welcome back to business".
