SATURDAY, JANUARY 15TH: Olivia and Thomas have finally gotten moved into their new house, a quaint little two-story much like that of Thomas' mother's home. Everyone is invited to a barbeque to "house-warm" their new home. Don't forget to bring a homemade dessert!
"I'm in love with this house", I smiled at Olivia as I walked into her new home. "It's so warm and cozy".
"That's what I was going for", she grinned. "Do you think the baby will like it?"
"I know the baby will", I told her. "Speaking of the baby, when do you find out the gender? It will be nice to be able to say he or she."
She laughed. "My check up appointment will pick up soon. I'll find out more then".
"I'm so happy for you", I squealed and gave her a hug.
"Careful, you're kind of squishing me and the baby", she said, laughing.
"Oops, sorry", I smiled pulling back. "It's just so exciting!"
"Yeah", she grinned. The doorbell rang. "I'll catch up with you later".
"Of course", I nodded.
I looked around for Thomas but he wasn't anywhere in sight. I walked over to the back window. There he was. Out in the back playing basketball.
"Some things never change, huh?" I called out the window.
He turned around and laughed.
I looked for a door, but couldn't find one, so I settled for the window, and squeezed out of it.
"I guess they don't", he grinned. "Still climbing out my window?"
I laughed. His mom had an early curfew, so I'd always climb through his window. We'd talk for hours and then I'd sneak back out. My parents were barely ever home so they didn't even notice.
"You're not a very good host", I accused him, sitting down on the court.
He put down his ball and sat down next to me. "Everything is just happening so fast. It seems like just yesterday I was on Tree Hill High's basketball team and you were the little nerd working in Mom's cafe and tutoring Marcus".
"Okay that little nerd was your best and only friend", I crossed my arms smiling. "But I do know what you mean. I mean I'm the mother of two babies and you're a soon-to-be father".
"It's crazy, right?" He shook his head.
"You should probably get back inside, your wife is expecting you to help host this party", I told him.
"Saying wife makes me feel so old".
"You are old. Is that a gray hair I see", I teased.
"Shut up", he rolled his eyes pushing me aside, laughing.
We walked back inside. "Where have you two been?" Olivia asked a little flustered. "We're out of chips!"
"I'll go tell the police", I laughed.
"This is serious", she insisted seriously.
"Calm down, sweetheart", Thomas kissed Oli on the top of her head. "There's more in the basement".
"Okay", she sighed relieved and walked downstairs.
"There's no chips down there", Thomas admitted as soon as she walked out of the room.
"T!" I crossed my arms. "She's going to flip when she gets back up here."
"Which is why you need to hurry", he said and threw me is car keys.
I laughed. "I guess I'll be right back then".
Marcus was over talking to Jay. "We're going on a quick little trip to the market", I told Marcus. "Sorry", I apologized to Jay for interrupting his conversation with M.
I dragged Marc to the car. "Hurry up, we have to go get chips for Oli before she explodes".
He laughed."Then we better hurry".
