As @polyvore's meetup spans across almost two days of fashion-forward fun, I needed to plan more than one outfit. My first look was more tailored and business casual, so for the second look I went with an edgy, urban aesthetic — considering the main activities will be centered in and around SoHo, I picked a style that would complement the stylish neighborhood.

About my outfit and why I chose it: Did I mention before that I have a weakness for jackets? It begs repeating, in any case. As biker jackets have made a strong comeback, and white is Summer’s staple neutral, I was delighted to find a piece that combines both — this statement jacket by Joseph. Not only does it have gorgeous detailing like notched lapels and side zips, but it’s all silk! Which makes it light and breathable even in soaring temperatures. The Prabal Gurung t-shirt showcases one of the hottest trends for the season: bold, floral graphics. Bootcut jeans are perfect for elongating the leg line and creating a slimmer silhouette. Lastly, I opted for the hip but practical Loeffler Randall sandals, a Valentino Garavani studded tote in camel (another reliable neutral for this season), and an Alison Lou bracelet.

Very happy with the head-to-toe look, but the swoon-worthy pieces that @farfetch offers did make it a wee bit challenging to narrow down the options. ;-)
