Amphibians don’t typically conjure up images of style, but womenswear designer Kimberly Ovitz found a way to bring rain forest creatures to the foreground of fashion. For her Fall 2013 collection, she played with a range of textures, including silk, leather and lace, and at Anna Wintour’s behest (who sat front row during the show), Ovitz infused more color into her lineup. The brightest pieces—two cobalt blue body-hugging dresses—were inspired by poisonous frogs and their uniquely vibrant skin.
