A sudden puff of wind waves the pages of a newspaper. The creative inspiration thus takes wing for the new magazine rack designed by the Swedish team, Front, for Kartell. The Front Page design captures the riffling pages and breathes life into an object of lightness and elegance with its sinuous lines fanning into a curved semicircle of shelves. Front Page is a very special interior design item, something little transformed into something irresistable. Its colors take their inspiration from the most iconic magazines and newspapers such as the red of Time magazine or the yellow of National Geographic.

  • Kartell - Front Page Newspaper Rack
    connox.com
An unexpected breeze makes the newspaper pages flatter. That was the creative inspiration for the Newspaper Rack Front Page that has been designed by the Swedish design-team Front for Kartell. The design from Front Page solidifies the flattering pages and embosses stylistically appealing and elegant small furniture with swung forms, whose deposit boards are opened in a smooth half-sphere. It is up to you to fulfil the empty pages from Front Side: each opened "page” offers space for newspapers, magazines or books. The swung borders of each compartment avoid the slipping away from the insert. Kartell manufactures Front Page out of polycarbonate and in several transparent and two opaque colours. The available colours are oriented by some of the most striking newspapers and journals, for example the red of the Times Magazine or the yellow from National Geographic.

Crash can become a holder for firewood or pellets, a flower pot stand, a magazine rack... Crash is a painted metal container that has a strong personality, it is a recycled object that now performs a different function from the one for which it was created. Processed by hand each item is absolutely unique, and its particular "fabric effect" finish makes it look soft and silky.
