Tuesday - Mia Watkins is hosting a fabulous party at her lovely country house. Be there and bring a date.
“I’m so glad to see you!” I said to Madelyn, hugging her. It was great to have some familiar faces around me again “You have to tell me everything about your life in the States”
“I’ve been so busy with work. I have nothing to tell you aside from some gossips…” she said playing mysterious. She knew gossips where my favourite thing – when they weren’t nasty rumours about m, of course.
“Tell. Now.” I ordered.
Maddie opened her mouth to speak but my chauffer interrupted her.
“Ladies, the car is ready” he said, pointing the black limo.
“Great” I rolled my eyes as I walked to the limo and waited for James to open the door for me. I smiled to him while getting in after realizing I’d been rude to him.
“Champagne?” James offered before starting the drive.
“Champagne?” I turned to Mads, knowing the answer beforehand.
“I think you know the answer” she answered while taking the glasses from where she knew they were. I missed our limo rides, drinking champagne, laughing and catching up with our lives, going to some party.
We spend the whole ride talking about Paris, the upcoming shows we were going to attend at Fashion Week, she told me that Cara Delevigne was secretly hooking up with Paolo Anchisi and remembering old times. Before even realizing it, we were already at the party.
The first familiar face I spotted was, conveniently, Mia’s. She was talking with some really hot guy.
“Mia” I hugged her “Thanks for the invite. This is my BFF Madelyn, she’s a model”
“Nice to meet you Madelyn, I think I remember you from some shows” she said, shaking hands “This is one of my brothers, Brad”
“Nice to meet you” both Mads and I said at the same time. “Well, I guess we should you to the other guests” I added, smiling. I grabbed Madelyn by the hand and we walked away.
“Your friend has some nice brother” she whispered to me.
“I know, right?” I laughed.
The music was so great we couldn’t help but dancing right away. Every song was like ‘our song’, bringing back old and not-so-old memories of the crazy nights we used to share before drowning in work.
“Maddie?” a blonde beauty said, coming out of nowhere.
“AnnaBella! So long no see” my friends answered and they shared a hug. Then, Madelyn turned to me “Lin, this is…”
“AnnaBella Everheart?” I guessed without thiking I was probably sounding like a creep. Since I came to France I couldn’t help but find her in every magazine, she was like the ultimate Parisian girl.
“Exactly” AnnaBella confirmed my guess.
“I’m Lin-Lin Wang. You’re invited to my show tomorrow. Front row, if I’m not mistaken”
“Yes” she nodded “Thanks for that” she knew she didn’t have to thank me, but she was such a nice girl.
“So…” Mads interrupted “Who wants some drinks?”
We both agreed and stopped a waiter. Then, we proceeded to continue dancing. I probably shouldn’t, but I had to admit Paris parties were better than the ones in Shangai.
