Song of the day: Let Her Go - Passenger
Well these lyrics are pretty darn fitting because IT'S SNOWING OUTSIDE. Or it was. Maybe now it's freezing rain. But the point is... Now I have a two-hour delay tomorrow! #scoreee Hence why I am on Polyvore on a school day.
Oh! I need help with something... So it's that time of the year where we get started on our English research papers, so I need help choosing one! I'm to choose from:
-The Awakening by Kate Chopin
-Goodbye, Columbus by Philip Roth
-The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
-East of Eden by John Steinbeck
-Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri
-Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri
-The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
-The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien
-The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
-The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Woolf
-Freedom by Jonathan Franzen
Would any of you bright, cultured ladies happen to have read any of these and can offer some words of advice? Because I honestly haven't heard anything about any of them, so I have no idea what to pick... And they all look good, so I'm really stuck!
Anyway. You know I love tags, so I've been dying to do that 25 facts one going around, but you deserve good ones about me, so I must resist and ponder over that a bit more before publishing.
Um so my minds been bursting with things to say this past week but now my brain's just mush. I got four hours of sleep last night. Twas not fun.
But Spring Break starts this Friday, so that's all that's keeping me going.
Hmmmmmm. OH! I remembered something funny. Well, maybe only to me, but just incase it gives you a laugh... So my friend was showing me how the students in her math class were discussing in their FB group (idk if that's something everyone does, but in our school, each class makes a FB group for discussion purposes and stuff) how to get their teacher to allow them to eat pie on Pi Day (3/14 -- or, 14/3 for you Europeans out there-- anyone? Yeah, that's a thing at my school. Haha)... And so one of them comments like, "Well if you make sure the pie's still hot, he won't be able to say no!" and another student was like "Well we have math fourth period. How do we keep it hot for that long?" And so then (this is the funny part) this kid goes, "Guys. I've stayed hot for sixteen years. If I can do it, so can the pie." HAHAHA. Get it??? Ain't that hilarious?! Ugh I died of laughter. Lol. Okay you guys are probably like "Uhhh. YOU FREAK." Don't judge me, guys. You'd find it funny too if you knew this kid. He always leaves the best FB comments.
Ahhh. Okay. I think I'm like delusional right now. I should go before I lose all my Polyfriends for seeming like a crazy person. Lol.
PEACE AND LOVE.
p.s. Oh and this goes out to two of my faves @hortensie and @hijabikebabi (yes, I saw your set but I have yet to respond because I only like leaving comments when I have time to formulate meaningful ones ;)) for making me the most gorgeous sets ever! You two are some of the best Polyfriends a girl could ever ask for! All the long, sweet comments you guys leave me make my day every single time. Thanks for the constant support, no matter how behind I am on Polyvore! Wish you girls all the best! Have a fab fab week!
