  • Victoria Beckham is "La Reine Victoria" Shot by Karl Lagerfeld for Elle France |
    stylerumor.com
Fresh on this morning's French newsstands is a stunning Mrs. Beckham gracing the pages of ELLE France. The editorial, titled “La Reine Victoria”, was shot by Karl Lagerfeld in Coco Chanel’s apartment atop the rue Cambon flagship store in Paris. Earlier this summer VB tweeted a photo of herself sitting on the mirrored Chanel staircase with the caption "Iconic staircase!! fun in Paris!!!!! X vb" ELLE France revealed that the photo was snapped by her 10 year old son, Romeo, who was busy documenting his mom's every move. She told the magazine that she decided to tweet the photo after paparazzi saw her enter the iconic Chanel store. "Explain to my 4.5 millions followers that I’m doing a photo-shoot will prevent tabloids’ speculations claiming “Victoria Beckham is at Chanel spending millions!” I also use twitter to put the light on the charities I’m involved in. Twitter is a great way to communicate!” As for the photo shoot, “Queen Victoria” looked serenely sublime taking a nap on the designer’s iconic sofa whilst sporting a tweed jacket as a mini blanket, channeling her inner Coco. "I like to look like a Parisian. I sometimes feel a like French woman!" Behind the lens, Karl Lagerfeld shot Vicky B on the famous steps where Mademoiselle Chanel used to stand and spy on her audience during presentations. “Victoria has an innate sense of style. She knows what she likes and what suits her. She was successful as a singer, and now she excels in fashion but she is not only a career woman, she is also a wonderful mother” noted the Kaiser. “Everything revolves around my kids. Today’s next priority is to bring Romeo to the big wheel on Place de la Concorde!” Discover the full story in the new issue of ELLE France, on newsstands today.
