@justvisiting LOL, my slippers totally match! I dunno, to me it seems like the blouse is a really warm tone and the skirt, not so much. But both are on their way to me and I haven't seen them IRL so, yeah. You're right about the purse. Maybe I could carry the red Edie pursette instead.
I think I am going to wash the Lana. I machine washed my royal blue Joelle blouse (which is, I think, the exact same material as the Lana, except maybe a tad less sturdy) with success, except of course the pleats weren't crisp anymore. If it bothered me enough I could just iron them back in I suppose. I recently started washing all my silk tops and so far I haven't ruined anything! I just throw them in a mesh bag and put my machine on handwash/wool. Hand washing would be fine, I think! I even threw the Joelle in the dryer for 1 minute on low and it took out all the wrinkles without harm. I was feeling careless that day!
I saw your set title and popped in to ask why. From here it looks good together. The only thing I would question is the rugged strap of the sawyer purse with your silk crepe top; would the strap look out of place? (If it matched the top exactly I might not think about it.) Actually, I think those brown slippers would go with this outfit, too, even if you look naked. ;) Are you going to have the Lana dry cleaned? I was wondering if there is any way it can be hand washed.
