Abstract. Floral. Stripe. Geometric. Animal Print. Prints are our friends, and they add personality to any outfit. These dresses are all super figure-flattering and follow a general rule: Proportion!
1: I love this butterfly pattern. Keep the butterflies from being too sweet by choosing a very grown-up sheath dress. Very sophisticated. Keep the dress fun by choosing heels and a bag in bright, eye-catching hues.
2 :I love florals. Choose one with a watercolor-ish, spaced-out pattern and wear nudes shoes and a bag in a washed-down color, like this pastel green.
3: Stripes can be tricky - it's a common belief that they make one look wide. Try em. An overblown stripe like this that is asymmetric from the top to the skirt actually has a slimming effect. A neon bag is an awesome friend to this look in a simple, structured shape. The look is very Jean Seberg with flats.
4: Geometric patterns just look cool, and somehow seem to say, "yes, I AM as cool as I look. And I mean business, too." Pair with colorblock heels if you're not going corporate that day.
5: I mean, it's animal print. Walk on the wild side. Just err on the side of a slightly smaller pattern, especially if any part of the dress is voluminous. I tend to keep the shoe and the bag simple, But pink is my fave color.
*Petite tip* Keep prints on the small side if they're allover and the repeat is uniform.
