So the Lady Gaga hairbow! Well, hers is done with extensions. I am now making Lady Gaga hairbow headbands with real hair extensions! They are so fab, however, I will tell you how to do it with your real hair!
First: Wash your hair with an anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. I like Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny. Then blowdry your hair straight with heat spray or shine serum. I like, again, Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum.
Second: Always make sure you blowdry while aiming your dryer DOWNWARDS! This elimnates frizz. Now, for all you curly-haired girls, holla!!! You will need to use a flat-iron to really straighten out that cuticle.
Third: After your hair is completely dry, straight, and frizz free, begin to gather only the hair at the top of your head, folding it into two side ovals of equal size It is like tying aa ribbon or your shoes. Keep a ½ inch wide piece of hair out of the ovals, in the middle of your forehead. Secure the two loose hair circles with lightweight ponytail holders. Always use no damage ponytail holders!!! Shape each hair ribbon to form a natural bow shape with your fingers, and spray generously with a firm hold hairspray. Not too much or you will look stiff, yuck!
Last: Once the spray has dried, carefully roll the middle piece, which you had left out earlier, over the two ovals creating the center piece of the bow. Secure tightly at the back of the head with bobby pins, making sure to lock the center piece onto the head with the pins. Always use bobby pins close to your natural hair color! Comb the rest of your hair gently and spray one last time, just a little!!!
Okay makeup! On Sulem, I did a purple smoky eye. Any skintone can wear this!
Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow with your brow tone.
Apply a neutral beige all over the lid as the base.
On the inner lid, apply a glittery, peachy-pink.
Apply a light lilac/purple eyeshadow to the middle of the lid.
Darken the outer lid with a warm violet color.
Darken crease with a dark bergundy/violet color eyeshadow.
Then overlay with your warm purple eyeshadow.
Sweep a highlighting eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight.
Finish with black liner on lower lash line, and two coats of black mascara on lashes. Sweep cheeks with a peachy-pink blush with a golden undertone for that summer glow.
Apply a pink lipgloss with a clear shine coat on top!
PM me if you have questions!
Enjoy! Allie
