I used to go to a hole-in-the-wall soul food spot in Greenwich Village called The Pink Teacup. It is right around the corner from Chumley's, the former speakeasy some of you may recall. http://www.polyvore.com/speakeasy/set?id=33984892 I liked to eat fried fish followed by rhubarb pie and coffee in, of course, a pink teacup. The crockery was all vintage and mismatched. The place had a delightfully funky, cozy, and personal atmosphere. The rhubarb pie pictured here is actually from Tom's of Seinfeld fame, a place I went to a couple of times when I went to college up the street--but never hung out in; I liked the Greek, Hungarian, and jazz places better.

The painting is by Raoul Dufy, so this pink teacup is actually to be found in a seaside cafe somewhere along the Mediterranean.
