    The Chinese Zodiac (also known as Shēngxiào) operates on a 12-year cycle, with a different animal and personality representing each birth year. This unique ceramic tile depicting the symbol for the Chinese Year of the Horse is handcrafted of stoneware clay, hand-painted, provided with a crackle glaze, and high-fired to a permanent finish. The edge of the tile has a wavy, paper-like edge, forming a nice contrast with the black wooden board upon which it is mounted.
