~ Van Halen, Pretty Woman (okay technically it was written by Roy Orbison, but I like the Van Halen version thanks to my dad's obsession with them)
BTW, THIS IS ONE OF THE TOP SETS FOR ALL OF POLYVORE FOR NOVEMBER 17TH, 2010! THANKS EVERYONE! :)
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH: Everyone head down to Katie's Cafe to catch up over a coffee cup. Today's a day just to relax with your friends.
"Oooooohhh, pretty woman!" Thomas sang, very off-key as I came into my living room. He was seated on the ugly old love seat, grinning like a dork. I couldn't wait until we got out own house and could buy a brand new love seat. It would be heaven once we finally lived together.
"Uh, thanks?" I smirked, grabbing my clutch from the kitchen counter. I had somewhat dressed up, just because I could.
"What, you didn't think that was a compliment?" Thomas feigned disappointment. His blue eyes watered slightly. He could seriously be an actor. Maybe he should talk to Dan or Lola about that.
"Well, maybe if it didn't sound like a dying squirrel." I laughed, opening the front door of my apartment. I would be so happy once I could get out this place. I just had to wait thirty more days.
Thomas couldn't help but laugh as we headed to his car. "Hey!"
"I'm only being honest, babe," I smiled, climbing into his vintage Chevy Camaro. I tried to forget the fact that Jenny had ridden in this very car over a hundred times.
"Well." Thomas turned the key in the ignition. "I'm only being honest when I say that kinda love you."
"I kinda love you, too," I giggled.

When we arrived at Katie's Cafe, I immediately spotted Serena sitting in the corner with, of course, Adam. We weaved our past all the table, smiling at our friends and nodding at our "friends." Luckily Jenny was nowhere in sight. She probably thought she was too "cool" for a get together at the local cafe.
"Heyyy!" Serena gushed. "It feels like I haven't seen you in forever!"
"Yeah, 'cause you spend too much time with this guy," I grinned, glancing down at Adam, who blushed. "Hey, Adam."
"Olivia," Adam nodded, slipping out of the booth to go talk to Thomas. They grabbed a seat at the bar counter and I slid into Adam's vacated seat.
"Okay, Oli," Serena stared at me, her pretty blue eyes shining. "Summer showed me the bride's maids dresses and... they are simply gorgeous!"
I smiled. Of course they were. Summer was an amazing designer, especially for one of her friend's weddings. "I'm sure they are. But that's not what I want to talk about."
Serena creased her blonde eyebrows. "Everytime I talk to you all you basically want to talk about is your wedding. And Thomas. And how your retard parents aren't coming."
I looked away, feeling the impact of her statement. "We don't know that yet."
"Look, Oli, I'm sorry, but let's face it. Your parents haven't talked to you in three years. And we all know they never wanted you to be an editor. For the guy you're sleeping with." Serena bit her lip. "But your wedding will be perfect without them, I promise. I mean, come on. I'm your maid of honor. That's perfection just right there."
I smiled faintly. "Yeah."
Serena rolled her eyes. "Don't go all brooding bride on me. What did you want to talk about?"
"Yeah, you and Adam." I smirked. "You... And Adam."
She was blushing now, sipping her coffee to hide her face. "What about us?"
"Olivia Louise Port!" Serena whisper-yelled. "It's not like we discuss you and Thomas' 'intimate details.'"
I laughed, catching Thomas' eye across the cafe. He grinned widely and I returned the favor. "So? You have to admit that you and Adam are getting pretty hot and heavy. It's written all over your face."
Her face deepened it's shade of red, matching my blazer. "Fine. Maybe we are. What's the big deal?"
"Are you being safe, Serena Lea James?" I smiled devilishly.
"Ugh, you sound like my mother!" She cried, smacking my arm lightly. She wasn't very strong, or menacing to say the least. "And besides, I'm in med school, Oli, of course I take my precautions."
