June 10th: Skipping another day of school are we? Well atleast be sure to have fun doing it! It's Cali so live it to the max and get so pissed, you can't even see straight.
“Go on! Get out! We’ll meet up with you guys later!” Tegan pushed the boys out the door. Sage and Sasha left with them to get ready.
Tegan and I stood shoulder to shoulder in the small hotel bathroom. She was curling her hair into a big afro. How and where she learned that? I had no idea.
I swallowed my thoughts.
“Hey, Tegan. Can I ask you something?” It was a bit of a habit of mine to be cautious of my surroundings.
I did that when I binged too.
“What dear?” she said without looking at me.
“Do you think Jake likes me?” I stopped applying my mascara and looked at her. She stopped curling her hair.
“Hell yes! How can you not see it? He is head over heels for you!” she laughed and continued to curl.
“I think Jake is trying to get with me.”
“That’s what you’re worrying about? A sexy man wanting to be your boyfriend?” she couldn’t believe me. It made my overreacting sound stupid.
“Yeah, but he’s my friend.” My lashes were getting clumpy by now. But that’s how they wear it here. Clumped and trashy.
“Friend schmiend.” I rolled my eyes and clumped my lashes more. Tegan just put on some fake eye lashes I had never seen before. She probably stole them. Tegan, my klepto.

I slipped on my black dress. The soft fabric scratched against my skin. Lacing up my boots, I noticed Tegan grab a Ziploc baggy full of joints and put them in her bag.
A loud rap came from the door.
“Hey, are you guys ready yet?” asked Ian.
“Nooo,” I answered back as I grabbed my bag.
“Come on, Stella.” Tegan was waiting by at the door. I grabbed my rosary and almost tripped over a beer bottle.

The neon strobe lights dizzied me as I walked pass the guards with my Fake ID.
California. You are strange.
But. I love you.
Basically, all the girls looked the same. Blonde with brown roots. Tan. Caked up make-up faces. They looked like they had all undergone plastic surgery and I couldn’t really differentiate one from another.
I passed through a huge crowd and lost Tegan.
“May I have this dance?” Jake bowed in front of me. I couldn’t help but laugh. He wore a loose shirt with a black vest, skinnies and vans. He could clean up real nice.
“Of course, you may,” I did a little twirl and curtsied. It didn’t fit the rap crap or the club but I didn’t notice. I was lost in Jake’s smiled and constant ability to make me laugh.
I saw Tegan dancing with a local. I admired her for being able to be so easy-going and meet new people quickly.
But then I was lost from my thoughts because the music overcame me. I didn’t drink. Or maybe I did. I couldn’t remember. I do remember sitting in the back smoking weed with Jake and Kat and Fara.
After that, I left. Jake was too drunk to follow me and I was okay with that. I needed some alone time to think. I could hardly make it to the door without tripping or stepping on bodies on the floor. Dawn was about to break.
The sky was still purple. I sat on the curb watching the sun rise, smoking some really legit weed.

Went to club last night. Danced with Jake. It was fun. I love him. Going back to NYC! <3 I miss it. I heard Tegan has some shrooms. Plane trip back will be fun.
