Love and lights--twinkling lights to be precise--that's what this Wall-e set is all about!

The goal was to create a Wall-e set utiziling jewelry (beads or crystals) in rainbow colors that would twinkle and sparkle like Wall-e's Christmas lights, and so it began with this adorable image of Wall-e and Eve with the lights.

From there, Eve's sophisticated and somewhat vintage feeling outfit was inspired came from the "Hello Dolly" song featured in the film: "Put on Your Sunday Clothes." Wall-e's attire, on the other hand, had to be a little bit more casual, as he was not nearly as sleak in design or movement as his hovering angel, Eve.

The casting of Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) was not done until the very end when it suddenly struck me that Wall-e was very much like early season Jim. Admiring the light of his life from afar--wanting to reach out to her but holding himself back for fear of getting his heart blasted into a million pieces. In those early days, Pam was still engaged to Roy so her friendship with Jim had no hand-holding or lip-locking...but they still had a ton of fun together.

Now I might just have to create a Wall-e set featuring Dwight Schrute--there are two or three roles I could see him in! Maybe Michael Scott as the Captain?
