  • A Bright, Pink and Neutral Beach Wedding at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida
    More info
Inspired by a shipwreck and complete with a treasure chest, Jaime Martuscello (33 and a physical therapist) and Andy Martuscello’s (33 and in biotech) colorful wedding puts a fun twist on their beach theme. The couple started their day at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida, with a beach ceremony covered in bright and whimsical decor. The venue’s florist lined each row of white chairs with pink peonies, straw and even seashells as a grand chest covered with similar blooms and netting stood at the head of the aisle. Jaime made her entrance in a fitted white wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier with sheer Spanish tulle overlay and a short train. “The back of the dress was my favorite,” she says. More tulle fell over its open back for a soft, romantic touch. After Jaime and Andy said “I do,” the celebration continued with “Blue Wave” signature cocktails along the water and an indoor reception. Natural chandeliers of white orchids and branches were suspended over their family-style tables as white and pink blooms accented each place setting. Another detail we loved was the escort cards. The couple’s 40 guests found their names as the message-in-a-bottle on their dinnerware. All ended the night with dinner and a few dances to music from their DJ. Tonya Malay Photography captured every moment, below. Jaime shares a tip: “Wedding planning can be stressful at times. Remember it all works out in the end and will be the best day of your life.”

  • A Green and Pink Beach Wedding at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida
    More info
Arienne Bistany and Ben Rubenstein worked with the Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida, to put a tropical twist on classic wedding details, and the result was gorgeous. The couple started their day with a Jewish ceremony, which was officiated by a family friend on the beach. Bright flower petals led the way to a white fabric chuppah as green orchids cascaded over the canopy and each post. The venue’s florist even designed a matching bouquet of pink calla lilies and green orchids for Arienne. Each bloom added a welcome pop of color against her classic, white lace wedding dress. After Arienne and Ben exchanged vows, their celebration moved to an indoor reception. Each of their 80 guests found a place card nestled between sand and seashells while entering the room. Gold chiavari chairs and pale green linens accented each round table as bright white and green orchid centerpieces served as accents. One standout detail: the wedding cake. The venue’s pastry chef designed a four-tier round confection covered in thick frosting. Each tier was decorated with white and green orchids and pink calla lilies to match the day's florals. For a whimsical touch, the couple chose a cake topper that included a groom holding his golf bag and a bride with her arms crossed. Tonya Malay Photography captured every fun pink and green accent, below. Arienne advises future couples to remember one thing: “It’s not about the food or the decor. It’s about family, friends and becoming husband and wife."

  • A Beach-Themed Island Wedding at a Private Residence in Oahu, Hawaii
    More info
This island wedding took place steps from the waterfront at a family member's residence in Oahu, Hawaii, which Veronica Vasquez (27 and a hair stylist) and Tim Beisner (28 and an AT&T technician) used as inspiration for their beach theme. "Located right on the beach with a huge yard, the peaceful property never really got crowded," Veronica says. "We knew right away that getting married at Tim's family's beach house would be special for us and our guests." Using a tropical palette of coral and teal with accents of gold, Veronica and Tim brought their beach-themed nuptials to life—from the peony, rose and lily flower arrangements to the wedding party's coral dresses and teal ties. The day began on the sandy shores, where Veronica and Tim shared their first kiss at the bamboo arch draped in linens, captured on camera by Creatrix Photography. The party then moved to the tented reception on the property, where dining tables embodied the beachy feel through glass vases filled with sand and seashells. The Perfect Wedding DJs played traditional Hawaiian music while guests enjoyed their a luau-style dinner of kalua pork, but we felt that Veronica and Tim truly saved the best for last with their cake. Seashells and pearls decorated the five-tier teal masterpiece with coral reef designs, filled with pineapple and coconut to represent the day's style, theme and colors. Check out more beach-themed inspirations we loved at this island wedding, below.

  • An Intimate, Tropical Wedding at the Sugarman Estate in Maui, Hawaii
    More info
Laura Williams (28 and a retail manager) crossed paths with Star Jackson (27 and a hospitality manager) as students while crossing the quad of the University of Alabama campus. “I told him I liked his shoes,” Laura admits of Star's showstopping purple and teal Adidas sneakers. Six years later, the couple’s Maui wedding at the Sugarcane Estate mirrored their initial vibrant connection. "We wanted our wedding to be a mix of old Hawaii and bohemian chic," Laura says, who exchanged vows and traditional Hawaiian wedding leis alongside Star at the Keawala’i Congregational Church in Makena, Hawaii. An intimate outdoor reception for 35 guests followed, where hula dancers kept the celebration going strong. "Since all of our guests were traveling great distances to celebrate with us, it was important that we give them the full Hawaiian experience," Laura says. As the moon rose over the ocean and sprawling green lawn, dinner and drinks were served on Kona wooden farm tables set with candles and lush garland runners made with rich pink and purple tropical flowers. Overhead, canopies were hung with delicate floral leis, adding to the night's romantic, enchanting vibe. Wendy Laurel Photography captured every bit of the event's blush pink, burgundy and fern green palette, all of which fit the breathtaking surroundings. As the night came to a close, each attendee received a locally made favor: A box of cookies from Maui Sweet Cakes for the men, and necklaces by designer Sophie Grace for the women. “Maui is a sacred place to us,” Laura says. “And I think we did a nice job of showing our guests the proper Maui experience.” —Carolyn Meers

  • A Beach Wedding at the St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kauai, Hawaii
    More info
Jessie Vivers (30 and an emergency room nurse) and Seth O'Byrne (33 and a luxury real estate broker) exchanged phone numbers after meeting by chance at a club in San Diego, California. The next morning Jessie boarded a plane. Even though Jessie is a San Diego native, she was attending college in Oahu, Hawaii, at the time. Seth couldn't stay away. He emailed Jessie his flight information—his way of asking for a second date. "I have always loved to travel, so when I saw how quickly Seth went to book his ticket and throw caution to the wind, I knew we had clicked at some basic but beautiful level," Jessie says. Seth secretly planned their surprise engagement in Aspen, Colorado, and Jessie's bespoke ring. Jessie and Seth found their ceremony venue years before their wedding day. "While we were lying on the beach in the warm humid air, we felt an unexplained connection to the spot." The couple didn't stick to any prescribed themes. Instead, Jessie came up with her own: organic-luxe and boogie-boho. Envisioning their Hawaiian celebration, Jessie pictured lush leaves and white dresses that swayed in the breeze. She wanted, above all, the island's natural beauty and motion on display. "For something as powerful and life-altering as a marriage, it seemed only fitting to do it outside with fresh air in our lungs, under the trees, with grass beneath our feet and the ocean lapping on the shore," Jessie says. Since Seth is a writer, he crafted heartfelt vows that left guests in tears. Jessie, on the other hand, got creative with her vows. In a one-of-a-kind hula performance at the reception, she used her body to express what she was unable to say in words. Jessie and Seth are both vegetarian, so their dinner menu was meat-free. To compensate, the couple doubled up on their drink selection. Of course, their wedding wouldn't have been complete without their Pomeranian dog, Mochi, in attendance. His silly, smiling face even appeared on the postage stamps stuck to some invitations. As Jessie says, "invites set the tone for the feel of the event." —Alexa Wybraniec
