The honeycomb is one of the oldest known architecture concepts of the world. The designers of the shelving systems clive wilkinson + intelligent design were not only inspired by this natural construction method when they named their creation. Contrasting: the name was a generally consequence of the inspiration that was taken out of nature. The single parts in the typical honeycomb forms are made out of thin walled polyethylene that is made in a rotary procedure. This is how the exceptionally transparent and clear expression from honeycomb emerges. The rivet system for the connection of single honeycombs enables the efficient, transformable mounting; that offers never ending possibilities for different compositions. The structural capacity from honeycomb is beyond all borders. It can be assembled seven metres high and seven to the sides. Special effects are reached because of the possibility of removing simple element and inserting windows into the shelf. Honecomt does therefore not only look great, it also brings huge flexibility and creativity with it, and all this not only as a shelf, but also as an original room divider. Honeycomb is also available in the colours mint, cherry and light grey.
