  • YOY Idea Blow Wall Shelf
    luminaire.com
Effortlessly dancing between installation art and functional object, YOY Idea's Blow Shelf takes inspiration from a pile of sheet paper being blown in the wind. Made of powder-coated steel, the thin, white shelves are each unique with slight variations in the curves and angles that give the object a sense of movement. Designed to be grouped together, the easy to install shelves are equally stunning left empty or used to display special items and keepsakes. Includes mounting hardware consisting of a wall clamp with screws that grip a slot in each shelf to anchor the display to the wall. Each shelf sold individually. Please note: Image #1 features an actual stack of paper resting on the floor. This stack of paper was used only as a prop and is not available for purchase. The paper is regular white letter size available anywhere.

  • Herman Miller® Eames® Molded Fiberglass Armchair Rocker
    hivemodern.com
Design Charles & Ray Eames, 1948. Molded fiberglass, metal frame, solid wood rockers. Made by Herman Miller® "The role of the designer is that of a very good, thoughtful host anticipating the needs of his guests." -Charles Eames. Thanks to a new proprietary process of producing fiberglass, Herman Miller is once again able to produce the Eames original 1950's Molded Fiberglass Chair safely by means of a less volatile, monomer-free "dry bind" process. Like the original shell chairs, the new fiberglass finish has the same covetable surface variation and tell-tale fiberglass striation that have attracted avid vintage collectors for decades. Available in both the arm and side chair formats in eight archival colors, the chairs can be configured with a choice of wire, dowel leg, stacking, rocker, and 4-leg bases. An array of trim, finely tailored Hopsak fabrics designed by Alexander Girard, Herman Miller's Textile Director from 1952 to 1973, round out the collection of shell customization options, fully restoring the integrity of the original 1953 shell chair offerings. All chairs can be recycled through the Herman Miller Take Back Program. With a grand sense of adventure, Charles and Ray Eames turned their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that established them as a truly great husband-and-wife design team. Their unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Lean and modern. Playful and functional. Sleek, sophisticated, and beautifully simple. That was and is the "Eames look." With the molded plastic, fiberglass, and wood shell chairs -as well as the wire chair- the Eames' have created a universal response to what everyone wants from a chair: a simple, gracious form that fits any body and every place. 25" w | 27.25" d | 26.5" h | seat: 16.25" h.

  • Origami Table By MIO
    2modern.com
Composed of two laser-cut and slotted sheets of steel, Origami ships flat and requires no tools or hardware to assemble. One sheet is the negative of the other, eliminating waste during production and giving the table its dynamic form. Once bent, the tables folds lock the parts into place. The tables petal-like surfaces are sturdy and spacious making it a practical and sculptural side table, night stand or plant stand. Inspired by its namesake art form, Origami is an exploration of the affordances of folding materials to create functional and efficient structures that are self-locking and hardware free. Designed to ship flat and get maximum use of standard metal sheet goods. Design eliminates unnecessary cutting and waste. Made in the USA from locally sourced materials.

  • Moroso Bouquet Armchair
    hivemodern.com
Design Tokujin Yoshioka, 2008. Steel frame, microfiber fabric. Made in Italy by Moroso. Sublime simplicity for this innovative, amazing design by Tokujin Yoshioka. "I got the idea for Bouquet from the installation I created last October for Moroso's New York showroom. I used about 30,000 paper tissues to recreate a cloud-like atmosphere. The Bouquet makes people who sit on it happy, just as a bouquet makes the person who receives it happy. The vibrant, delicate colors trigger different sensations in each of us." The Bouquet chair "blooms" on a slim, chrome-metal stem that blossoms with white or delicately-colored "petals" made of hand-folded fabric squares sewn one by one, with great care and infinite patience, to completely cover the internal surface of the egg-shaped, wrap-around shell. Tokujin Yoshioka, is a great "couturier" with a meticulous eye for detail, he is a designer whose delicate, poetic, elegant designs help us to dream. He likes to astonish us by producing surprising effects from simple, almost banal objects which he interprets and uses in an extraordinary way by means of his ability to see beyond and to reinterpret the world through the characteristic poetry and harmony of Japanese culture. The Bouquet armchair features an injected flame-retardant foam over an internal steel frame and varnished, metallic grey steel rotary base. It is offered in your choice of four microfiber removable covers. 30.25" w | 32.75" d | 32.75" h | seat: 15" h.
