Blueboy - Remember Me 1997
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGIeJswiJU4

I had this song in my head for DAYS, just not the lyrics, so I couldn't look it up x.X
(and it's so little lyrics, too!)

'The track is built around two samples from the 1973 live version of "Woman of the Ghetto", a 1969 soul song by Marlena Shaw, originally recorded for her album The Spice of Life. Near the end is the line: "Remember me? I'm the one who had your babies", in reference to African-American maids raising white children for little pay. The sample repeated throughout is the scat portion of the refrain.'
