~do you think we'll be in love~
name: Lola "Lolly" Blue
quote or lyric to describe you character : when I wake up I want life to be a surprise.
likes: timeless vintage pieces, Lana Del Rey, soda, hot dogs from street vendors, being in the city, kissing, bold jewellery, lita's, pastel colors, kittens, dressing down expensive outfits, being unexpected, always being late, parma violet lollies, sunrises, bubble baths, messy rooms.
dislikes: tea and coffee, being on time, insects, being talked down too, sushi, bad breath, sharp angles, bold colors, burnt toast smell, unchipped nails, drinking water, showers (she only takes baths), people who talk over others.
style: whimsical, statement pieces, pastels, poofy dresses, distressed, fragile, lace, tassels, unexpected, messy hair, minimal makeup, childish.
previous occupation: too many jobs to mention, she likes to try new things but never sticks around for long. She has worked in boutiques, been a nude model for art school, worked in a ice cream shop, sold flowers from the side of the road.
education (if relevant) : Lola has started so many courses and never finished, art, history, fashion, languages. Although she is very bright she gets bored quickly.
bio: Lola has always lived in the city, in the same apartment on the 6th floor, she has never traveled except in her mind, her mother is a waitress in a small diner and her father, well she has never met him. Lola is bright and funny but has never stuck anything out, people say she should move on with her life and that she is permanently stuck in her teens, running around NY as if it's her own personal playground. She has a air about her that makes people want to know her and her fashion choices has made her some what a icon, she is the muse for a well known designer. Lola is afraid of becoming expected, stale, boring, she lives her life like it could end any minute and spends most of her days wearing her high heels out on the city sidewalk, never sitting still. When Lola heard about the contest she thought she would enter on a lark and never expected to be chosen but the judges saw something in Lola, lets just hope she doesn't quit this like she has everything else in her life.

"Night Lolly" My mom poked her head around my bedroom door, she was off to work her night shift at the dinner, she already looked tired after working a morning shift and having a few hours nap. "Night Momma, don't put up with any sh*t" I got up to hug her, "language" she shook her head then hugged me back "there is meatloaf in the fridge if you get hungry" she added and I nodded "thanks, love you" she was about to go out my door then stopped "oh and there is some mail for you" she kissed my head and turned round the corner, I could hear her head down the hall and out the door. "MAIL" I called to no one and bounded out to the kitchen, a letter sat on the counter the words Running in Heels printed on the cover.
"God, sh*t, fu*ck, bugger" I picked it up with shaking hands, it was bound to be a rejection but still it was an awfully think envelope, I ripped it open and pulled out the pages inside "Dear Miss Bluedle" ugh they used my real last name, I changed it too Blue when I was five, partly because I had never met the man who gave it too me and partly cause what kinda name is Bluedle? I kept reading "We are happy to inform you that you are invited to participate in this years Running in Heels competition", ahhhhh omg I jumped up and down, I'm in!!! I nearly tore the letter in my mad jumping dance and calmed down enough to read the letter properly, I was given some forms to fill in and some instructions and where to be and what to do.
I stared at the letter with stars in my eyes, If I won this then maybe Momma would not have to work so hard, I didn't think my chances were wonderful but what the hell it was worth a try, if I could just stick it out! Well there was my problem, sticking it out,not something I was good at. I took the letter back to my room and dropped it on my desk, the dress I was halfway through making sat on Molly my dress model, it had been halfway done for the last five months, all my dresses ended up like this, halfway finished. Maybe this time I would actually finish something?
