  • Annabelle Lucilla Jewellery - Tiratana Pendulum Chain Studs
    More info
This collection comprises of a quincunx of shapes based on the sacred 5 tower structures of Angkor Wat. Inspired by this architecturally striking and elegant temple complex in Cambodia, the collection mirrors its Ogive or Lotus shaped pointed temple apexes, its intricate columns and detailed patternation. Mixing modern, geometric forms and shapes with organic ruin-esque etched surfaces, pieces give the sense of the present and the past assimilating, reviving and renewing the Khmer aesthetic. The Tiratana pendulum earrings are named after the Sanskrit word for 'Three Jewels'. The short studs are intricately detailed with a stamped geometric pattern. The long colonette shaped pendulum is intricately etched from original illustrations of the ruins of Angkor Wat. The colonette is uniquely etched on both sides and tiny pyramid geometric detailing contrasts with the organic etched textures. The Lotus Bud shaped ends of the colonette mimic the spire shapes of the temples which point towards the sky, connecting the cosmos with Earth, as well as the many Lotus flowers blooming at Sunrise on the water surrounding Angkor Wat, signifying Love, compassion, joy and Equanimity. Both short and long chain pendulums are detachable, and can be looped on to the earring post to be worn. The stud component can be worn vertically, diagonally or horizontally against the ear lobe. Heavy 18ct Yellow Gold Plated Brass Note*: All earrings are made with 18ct Gold Plated Sterling Silver studs and Scrolls to avoid skin irritation.
