The Blue Fluted pattern is part of Denmark's cultural heritage. To connoisseurs all over the world it is synonymous with Danish porcelain. Blue Fluted is Royal Copenhagen's very first porcelain dinner service and is a measure of the skill, tradition and craftsmanship at Royal Copenhagen. Blue Fluted Full Lace has actually been in existence since 1775, but originally only in the form of dessert plates. It was initially developed as a full service just over 100 years later, in 1888. In common with the Plain and Half Lace services, all lids are decorated with pretty snail shells, and all parts are assembled, painted and glazed by hand. In the openwork lace border of mussel decorations, each individual hollow is cut out by hand and represents the ultimate in elegant modeling. All items of Blue Fluted Full Lace are assembled, painted and glazed by hand.

"Plain" in the collection's name refers to the smooth rim traced with a simple band of blue. Microwavable and dishwasher safe. Dinner Plate, 10 3/4" diam.; Salad Plate, 7 1/2" diam.; Bread & Butter Plate, 6 3/4" diam.; Teacup and Saucer, 8.25-oz. cap., 6" diam.; Rimmed Soup Bowl, 9" diam. Imported.

Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Mega Dinnerware
Designer Karen Kjældgård-Larsen created the Mega series as a witty update of Royal Copenhagen's signature porcelain Blue Fluted collection. Like all Blue Fluted ware, the pieces are hand painted with delicate brushstrokes over the fluted surface, so no two are exactly alike. Microwavable and dishwasher safe. Dinner Plate, 10 3/4" diam.; Salad Plate, 8 3/4" diam.; Bread and Butter Plate, 6 3/4" diam.; Teacup, 8.25-oz. cap.; Saucer, 5 3/4" diam.; Rimmed Soup Bowl, 8 1/4" diam.; Cereal Bowl, 12-oz. cap., 2 1/4" high; Mugs, 11-oz. cap., 4 1/2" high. Royal Copenhagen black porcelain fluted dinner plate. From the Blue Fluted and Black Fluted Collection . 10.75" diameter, approximately . Available in Black . Porcelain . Dishwasher- and microwave-safe . Handmade in Denmark . This product is glazed with a matte glazing on the fluted platform which gives the porcelain a unique and rustic expression.
