Russ Martin Wilted Hosta Leaves Black & White Photograph
This is a photograph of a group of leaves of the common landscape plant, the hosta, which have been hit by frost, then dried by the unusually warm dry fall air. The picture is a study of shape, texture, and tones. It was printed in brown tones to accentuate the natural qualities of the subject. The print was made on 16.5X23.5 inch mat surface fine art paper, and was printed on an Epson professional printer with archival pigment inks with a fade resistance of over 300 years. It is print number 1 or a possible edition of 50 plus two artist's proofs. The image has a border of about 1 inch on all sides. It is titled and editioned on the lower left, and signed and dated on the lower right, in pencil.
