    Selena Gomez has definitely been keeping her fans guessing lately. She's taken a break from singing and acting to focus on family and herself, but when fans do get a peek into her new life, it's been, well, confusing. Sel caused a big stir when she unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including her on-again, off-again ex Justin Bieber and BFF Taylor Swift (she's since re-followed just three accounts, her Dream Out Loud clothing line, jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz and T.D. Jakes Ministries). And when she posts to her account, the pics and videos are often vague and artsy. Today's post was no exception. Sel posted this pic of herself having a blast on vacation, with the caption, "Taking my power back.. can't wait to show you where I've been. I love y'all. Ps, I still obsess over pickles." We're always all for ladies (and guys!) taking their power back, but the whole caption has us wondering what Sel has to show us, how she lost her power and got it back and, of course, what her

    Sure, sure, you can use a waving iron to create beachy waves in your hair, but that's not what Selena Gomez did this weekend. In fact, she didn't even use a styling tool at all. She used... Braids, the old-school way to create a wavy hair texture. She was caught out with her hair in plaits just before she was seen with mermaid hair. Now here's the after: And if you notice, the pattern of the waves follows the pattern of the braids, so I think we can conclude that they are, in fact, related. I actually have been know to do this myself, and I have a tip for you: Braid your hair when it's damp. Having a little moisture in your hair is key to locking in the shape as it dries, but if you do it when it's still soaking wet and you have thick hair like mine, spots of it still won't be quite dry the next day. True story. Any of you ever use this trick to create waves?
