Bainbridge dormitory's annual Beer-Fest. Loud music, hot coeds, & halls lined with kegs. It might be finals week, but this party is one you can't miss.

I drank my White Chocolate Mocha as I walked to the computer lab. It was going to be a busy week. The Daily Californian was going to be published for the month next Monday and everything had to be in by on Friday before we left for the city.
I used my key card to get in and set my bags down, "Hi Professor Williams." Professor Williams was the paper's sponsor and advisor. He was young for a professor, probably early forties. I was grateful for all the things he did for the paper."
"Good morning Ryan. Going to be a busy day?"
"Oh yes." I got right to work. Proofreading, writing and fixing photos. I was so busy, that I didn't even realize that it was lunch time until Alex walked in and surprised me with lunch.
"Thank you baby," I said as I munched on my sandwich.
"It's no problem. I had a feeling that you'd be busy and would have no time to eat, so I took it upon myself to bring you something."
"Awe, well aren't you the sweetest. I hate to say this now, but I really do have to get to work."
"That's fine, I understand, I have class in about 30 minutes. I'll meet you at the Beer-Fest tonight, right?" He stood up.
"Yes, I'll call you when I'm ready." I gave him a kiss, "Bye baby."

I slightly bent my knees to get myself a beer. I didn't want to bend down and show my a*s to the entire crowd.
"Here, I got that," Someone walked up next to me and pumped the kegger and poured me some into a cup.
"Thank you very much. I appreciate that." I grinned at the guy.
"I'm Tyler." He put out his hand for me to shake.
"So, Ryan, are you here alone?"
"For right now, yes?"
I nodded, "Yeah,"
"Damn, that kind of sucks."
"What do you mean?"
"I can't believe my luck that an extremely gorgeous girl is already taken." I giggled, this guy and his lines.
"How about you leave my girlfriend f*ck off and leave my girlfriend alone." I was too busy thinking this guy was a joke to notice that Alex was here.
"Man, I'm sorry."
"For what? I'm sure she already told you that she had a boyfriend and still you have to be some dipshit trying to hook up with my girlfriend."
"Alex, I had this."
"Look man, I said I was sorry. I just wanted a p*ssy to f*ck tonight. I thought your girl would be a good one." I gasped, what a jerk.
Alex grabbed his shirt and got into his face, "You speak to my girlfriend ever again, I'll break your legs." He let go and Tyler walked away mumbling an, "As*hole."
I pursed my lips at him, "Baby, you didn't have to do that!"
"He was all over you, would you have rather me do nothing?"
"You could have done it a bit nicer!"
He grabbed my face and gave me a stern look, "Honey, I know you're the sweetest thing in the world, but with jerks like that, you can't be nice."
"Fine, thank you, but I thought you should have been a little bit nicer."
"I did it for you baby."
"Alright, well I need to go to the ladies room,"
"I'll be here, waiting."
I walked to the restroom on the other side of the hall and lightly knocked on the door, when I didn't hear a reply I walked in, but there was someone already sitting on the seat. When she looked up, I realized it was Ava, and her nostrils were completely covered in a white powder; coke. I gasped and looked away. She wiped her nose and slipped her things into her bag.
"I'm sorry. I knocked, but I didn't hear anybody."
"It's not what you think!"
"It's not what you think. I'm not a drug addict or anything."
"I, uh."
"I'M NOT! Just don't say anything." I averted eye contact.
"Uhm, you should get help though."
"Excuse you?"
"Well, cocaine's not good for a person. It's really bad in fact. You should get help."
"Help for what?! I DO NOT have a problem. So, princess, you should just butt out and go be perfect." She walked out and slammed the door behind her. I was anything but a perfect princess.
