The Simplest Uber Sophisticated Manicure of All Time

At the Reem Acra F/W 2013 show, Essie lead manicurist Gina Edwards created a nail look that had it all and is superlatively easy to re-create, too! She came up with a simultaneously rich yet translucent look using two of Essie’s most decadent shades, Bordeaux and Sole Mate.
 
“It’s really straightforward: start with two coats of Bordeaux, then follow with two coats of Sole Mate and you’re good to go,” she told us. “The red actually comes through the deep purple beautifully; we wanted to customize the polish to complement the gorgeous red lip [makeup artist] Pat McGrath created!”
