  • Loll Designs Cabrio Lounge Chair
    SOLD OUT: More info
The inspiration for the Cabrio Lounge Chair (2009) came from a desire to strip away excess and greatly simplify the overly complicated Adirondack chairs that are found on the market today. Designers Greg Benson and Jeff Tally point out how the Cabrio’s single-plank back and wide arms are a nod toward the Westport chair, which was the inspiration for and predates the Adirondack. With a seat that’s low to the ground and generously angled, Cabrio is built for casual lounging and enjoying the outdoors. This chair is made of recycled plastic reclaimed from post-consumer goods like milk jugs, which can be recycled again if necessary. Since Loll was founded in 2006, its use of recycledhas kept millions of milk jugs out of landfills. The fade-resistant, waterproof, maintenance-free Cabrio Lounge Chair is made to last for years. It’s no coincidence that it received a 2009 Good Design® Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. Ships flat to save on packing; simple assembly required (Allen wrench included). Made in U.S.A.

“We make outdoor furniture for the modern lollygagger,” explains Loll founder Greg Benson. “Our furniture is for people who are looking for fresh design that’s made in the U.S.A. with sustainable manufacturing practices. At Loll, we strive to inspire people to appreciate the outdoors both by the way we make our products and how they are intended to be used.” Starting as a side project, Loll was founded in 2006 by a custom skate park manufacturer as a way to repurpose excess ramp material. That original company is gone, but Loll still designs and produces durable all-weather outdoor furniture made from 100% recycled and recyclable plastic, mostly from reclaimed post-consumer milk jugs. Since the company’s founding, its dedication to the environment has kept millions of milk jugs out of landfills. The Adirondack Collection (2008), Loll’s most renowned, is waterproof, fade-resistant and maintenance-free. Each piece ships flat to save on packing; simple assembly required (Allen wrench included). dwr.com
The Go Collection (2005) was created after “an absolutely informal study taken by us lollygaggers,” say designers Greg Benson and Jeff Taly, the founders of Loll Designs. “We learned that people frequently sit with other people when outside. Perhaps this is because there’s no TV, or maybe our gregarious tendencies are amplified outdoors?” The Go Collection is a modern take on classic club chairs and love seats found indoors. Its seats are similar in height to those of dining chairs, and its backs have a less dramatic angle than those of typical outdoor lounge chairs for a more upright sitting position. These pieces are made of recycled plastic reclaimed from post-consumer goods like milk jugs, which can be recycled again if necessary. Since Loll was founded in 2006, its use of recycledhas kept millions of milk jugs out of landfills. The fade-resistant, waterproof, maintenance-free Go Collection is made to last for years. Each piece ships flat to save on packing; simple assembly required (Allen wrench included). Made in U.S.A.

Love Adirondack Chairs..recently found out they were originally made for placing on a sloping lawn, hence the deep back slant of the seat....who new! I liked them regardless..
