  • 4 Tricks for a Cooler Ponytail, Straight Off the Oscar Red Carpet
    glamour.com
There's something so cool about wearing a ponytail to the Oscars. One would think it's too casual a look for the sparkliest of black-tie affairs, but as we saw last night, this humble hairstyle can totally rise to the occasion and add a bit of down-to-earth, real-girl charm to a crazy-glam gown. Here are four ponytails from the 2015 Oscars, plus behind-the-scenes styling tips we can use to take our own 'tails up a notch in the sexiness department. 1. Jenna Dewan-Tatum went for a sleek pony with some modern texture, as a way to keep the focus on her face without going for a formal updo. “I love Jenna’s darker hair color in contrast to the white dress and really wanted to show off her eyes," says stylist Derek Williams. • All the Oscar Afterparty Looks You NEED to See!
    glamour.com
It never fails to amaze me that an entire group of fashion-loving celebs have the energy to turn around after the Oscars and put on a new dress for another red carpet—it's seriously impressive. Some of the best dressed from this year's afterparties also landed themselves on our top list from the ceremony itself and others are completely new faces. One of those newbies was Karlie Kloss who looked stunning in sultry black Atelier Versace. Those fab pumps are Gianvito Rossi. Solange nearly had a style repeat from her wedding in this high-necked Naeem Khan (totally fine with me since everything about her ceremony was gorgeous). Emma Stone made it on our big list and did again here in this loose red Altuzarra number that looked ready for a dance floor. Lupita Nyong'o's nude shift dress was way less dramatic than the pearl Calvin Klein beauty she wore earlier in the night, but no less beautiful. So, Zoe Saldana's dress pick for the ceremony didn't wow me, but this black and white belted beauty? Totally different story. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was another member of the supermodel brigade who looked smashing in dark emerald sequins with thick bands across the back. The
