What a fantastic shade of blue! When I was about 10, my Mom made me a velvet dress EXCATLY that colour. (Not that style... mine was fitted to the waist, and then gathered). Then I wore it to a party, and one of my friends (friend????) shook up a bottle of soda and sprayed it right at me. There went the top of the dress! My mother carefully separated the top from the bottom, and then I had a velvet skirt. Aren't you glad you know this story? :D
